　　電影奇才秦劍兼任編劇、導演，以典型文藝片格局，反映上流社會恃勢凌人，交代現實迫人下戀人的悲歌。故事描述當紅交際花白麗蘭（葉楓）早年喪夫，與愛女小蘭（馮寶寶）相依為命；白因生活迫人出賣色相，雖生活奢華，但受乾爹杜蘭亭（井淼）支配一切。音樂老師張志萍（凌雲）由憐生愛，與白結為夫婦，張卻因此而遭開除。白被家姑嫌棄，後更舊病復發，與愛女、愛人永別。本片由兩位當紅巨星助陣，大大增添其可觀性。

　　Julie Yeh Feng (The Shepherd Girl) gets a new melodramatic platform to showcase her versatility in this poignant tearjerker. Yeh plays socialite Pai Li-lan whose life is disrupted when she contracts tuberculosis. It is under new trying circumstances that love blossoms between Li-lan and Chang Chih-ping (Ling Yun), the music teacher of her daughter (Fung Bo-bo). Unfortunately, the odds seem stacked against their love for each other. Will the power of love be enough to see them through?

Absolutely unforgettable Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It was on the set of this movie that Ling Yun & Julie Yeh Fung fell in love in real life. You can feel the chemistry between them. This was Ling Yun's first Shaw film and I have never seen him this young and fresh. The plot is heartbreaking and will make you weep. The title song will remain in your mind long after the movie is over thanks to Tsin Ting's superb singing. This movie is absolutely unforgettable.
