One day she meets a new customer, a young musician named Dong-Suk (Choi Woo Je), who shares her passion for French film. Ae-Ryean is immediately smitten, but her love is tragically one-sided. 애련은 비디오 샵을 경영한다. 그녀의 친구는 영화, 그리고 수족관의 열대어 한 마리뿐. 손님 한 사람, 한 사람에게 자상하게 비디오를 골라주며 외로움을 잊으려 하는 애련. 그런 그녀에게 손님 동석이 다가선다. 프랑스 영화를 좋아하며 어딘가 남과 다른 친근함을 풍기는 그. 어느새 그녀의 하루는 그에 대한 기다림으로 채워진다.
그가 스며든다. 음악처럼...
동석과 가까워지면서 그의 이야기를 듣게 되는 애련. 그는 음악을 작곡하며 음반을 준비하고 있었다. 대중성이 없다는 이유로 번번이 음반회사에서 퇴짜를 맞고 있다는 그. 함께 하는 시간이 잦아지고 나누는 이야기가 깊어질수록 애련은 점점 더 그에게 몰입하는 자신을 느낀다. 자신의 생일에 커플시계를 사서 그에게 선물하는 애련. 동석은 그녀를 위해 노래를 부른다. 사랑과 그리움의 노래를... 애련은 행복에 빠진다. '그도 나를 사랑하고 있는거야!'
사랑이 길을 잃었다. 목이 마르다.
오랜 망설임 끝에 마침내 사랑을 고백하는 애련. 하지만 동석의 반응은 뜻밖이다. 그에겐 이미 결혼을 약속한 연인이 있으며 애련과 자신은 단지 마음이 맞는 친구일 뿐이라고... 동석과 그의 연인의 다정한 모습뒤에 애련의 쓸쓸한 얼굴이 보인다.

Sad story
| Veru touching. This is a story of a one-sided love affair. The girl deeply fell in love with the man who only treat her as a friend.She became to obsess with him that she even tried to hurt the one he love, sad ending but nicely done. She deserve to be a winner for that acting award. |

| i thought it was kinda scary how she's obsessed with the guy, but it's so sad how at the end he went looking for her but didn't find her....i didn't really get it, did she kill herself? |

not what i expected
| This movie seemed like a cute story of unrequited love...but its not, by any means. This movie ends up trying to occupy too many genres and is unsettling and kind of creepy. I only watched it once and really dont plan on watching it again because its just too weird. THUMBS WAY DOWN~ |

Sad movie

The female principle had a crush on the male principle long long time ago. Actually, she arranged everything to get a chance to get close to the male principle. In the beginning, she just love the male principle simply. But as time went by, she found that she can't help to get rid of the swamp. After she tried several times to make the whole thing work out, she was conscious that she can't get his heart any-how. So she just ceased her life in a duplicate of male principle's room. I do like this movie. And I think I can totally understand her feeling. U know, in real life, someone is destined to be forgotten. Sorry, my english is not so good. Sometimes I do think only the people in east Asia can understand this kind of subtle emotion. |
