Sugizo Lifeworks Cosmo Scape (Japan Version)
November 30, 2008 BreathtakingI do not know anything about music, so I cannot tell you how SUGIZO blends each type of music so well in this album which supposedly represents the best of his solo work. What I can tell you, however, is that this is definitely one of my favorite albums all time. Although most of the music was created like 5 to 10 years ago, it stood the test of time and sounds as good as brand new. SUGIZO's violin is what I am most attracted to. He should be glad he got such demanding parents who insisted him to practise like crazy since he picked up the instrument at the age of 3. His most important violin based work (as he said) Synchronicity is included here. The related piece "Rest in Peace and Fly Away" is probably the most unforgettable song I have ever listened to in my whole life. It is so beautiful that it gives me creeps every time I listen to it. SUGIZO's talent is versatile. "Cosmoscape", "Tell me Why", "Le Fou", "Initiation" and "Vice" are equally impressive. They range from psychedelic trance, to jazz to rock. I am also grateful that SUGIZO includes a note to each track to explain the story of his creative process so that you can understand the meaning of his music better. I truly recommend this album to everyone. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
