Worth your time watching
| I would have to say this movie is really good in some ways and kind of bad in others. Although it makes some good points in life I don't think you should take this movie seriously. I know it was based on a true story but it is so obviously over exaderated in so many ways. I wish they would of kept it less fake. Although it is real good in drama it takes a fool to actually believe that all those events can happen in the way they do. My advice is to make sure you watch the movie but don't take it seriously just enjoy it for the pure entertainment that it provides and leave it as that. But I give credit to the movie for its dramatization points and rare vizual point of views of avoided topics in the world. Two thumbs up. |

"You'll laugh, you'll cry!"
| Yeah, I know that's a cliche, but that also fairly well describes the emotional rollercoaster you'll be riding when you watch this film. You don't have to know anything about the events which may or may not have contributed to this story (I don't) to enjoy it. You'll be right with Ai, feeling her ups and downs coming from betrayal by her friends, rejection by her parents, exploitation by Japan's adult entertainment industry, "liberation" from AV and the debt that resulted, finding love, and the simultaneously tragic, yet jubilent, ending. I generally watch films solely as entertainment, not as a vehicle to find some convuluted, occult "meaning of life", so I don't take them too seriously. However, this was one of those rare moving stories that had me simultaneously smiling and crying in the end. Ai is a survivor, and her story is an inspiration that is well worth the price of admission. |

'Is there any way out for this victim of the cruel pornographic entertainment business?' A 'victim'? Don't make me laugh. Anyone who has seen her movies will know that she enjoyed doing this stuff and made a lot of money from it in the process. Maybe she's realised the error of her ways and decided to put out a so called life story to gain some sympathy because she feel morally tainted. Watch the movie but don't get suckered into her guilt trip. |

So Sad Yet So Beautiful
| I don't know how much of this "biography" is real or not, but I think its a absolutely beautiful story. I just got done watching this movie like.... 10 minutes ago... I'm still sitting here, bawling my eyes out. Its a very sad movie... Or maybe I'm just a sucker for chick flicks. Despite the name, the movie isn't really sexual. Half the time, you feel like slapping the atmosphere in this movie, because it depicts the real world so well. I truly admire the main female character in the story, because they made her such a strong character. She was a great match for the male lead as well. But anyway. Just watch the movie. Its a great one. |

Important life lessons
| This movie will change your life. Such tragedy and sadness in this film, but also a little hope. This film makes you think twice before ever buying or renting a porn-movie. Now that you know the pain, suffering and misery can be in the life on a pornstar. I hope that Ai Iijima, on who's autobiography this movie is based has now found true happiness in her life, she really deserves it! |
