SID returns with more promising song material. The 4-member band consisting of vocalist Mao, Shinji on guitars, Aki on bass, and Dr. Yuya on drums has prepared its third album, play, which arrives around one year after their last major work, Hoshi no miyako ("Star Metropolis"). Their third single Hosoi Koe ("Feeble Voice") climbed to the 18th spot on the Oricon charts. Even though SID has not scored a no. 1 hit yet, the band seems to be well on its way, as their fourth single, Chapter1, penned by Mao and composed by Aki, has already secured them a no. 10 hit. As for their latest single, O-tegami ("Letter"), it's the opening theme to the Saturday night TBS program Rank Kingdom. With their "06-07 play concert tour" just around the corner, SID are as ready as ever to surprise all their old and new fans.
