You have to love this movie.
| This movie is wonderful!!! Granted, I've only seen the English Dubbed version, but I loved it!!! I can't tell you how many times I've watched this. I'm a fan of fantasy, so this was awesome -- but the plot is great...the whole idea of it is great. It's a little freaky, too...I wouldn't recommend it for young children. Miyazaki-sama is very talented and imaginative. This is certainly an epic...it's almost like a legend. I love how Ashitaka is torn between two worlds...and always chooses love over hate. Great movie! :) |

A Great Movie!!!

Interesting English Translation
| Japanese dialog...with English Subtitles English dialog....with English subtitles Apparently they used several companies...thus, translation differs. If you want to learn Japanese or English vice versa, try to watch it with subtitles in English. My preferenceL Japanese dialog + English subtitles. |

Great Movie
| Highly recommend to any one that likes anime. The animation is flawless and the story is great. I watch it in the movie theater before and I also bought this DVD since it is such a great anime. |

fantastic
| i LOVED this movie. it was filled with important morals and other informative lessons that once you finish watching the movie, you feel like you are a changed person. i walked away from this movie feeling like i have learned more and had become more aware of the prejudices and destruction around me. this movie was more informative then anything i have encountered in my life. i strongly urge all those who have not seen this movie to see it. they will not regret it. (in a way, it makes you realize that if we are not careful of our actions, we will eventually become the destroyer of ourselves and our world.) it really makes you think. but most importantly, we should do something about all the hate and destructive forces around us. it is not too late. |

Modern Masterpiece
| It's great that Miyazaki Hayao-san's great work finally made its way to America. Despite the fact that it was only released in a limited setting (I wish I could have seen it in the theatre!!) it has done very well where I live on video. It's an incredible story that raises some issues. Who's right in the entire conflict that takes place throughout the movie? You may find yourself siding with San (Mononoke-hime) and the others, but think about it: the reason why Lady Eboshi is such an interesting character is because she does not believe that she is the villain. She's doing what she feels is best. I believe that Miyazaki is one of the great creators of our time. His serious yet charming anime classics are all great and Mononoke-hime is no exception. Now you can get it with both ORIGINAL JAPANESE and English tracks. What more can you ask for from a DVD? |

Princess Mononoke Review
| This is an excellent work by Miyazaki. The DVD disc contains the original Japanese language track as well, so it is truly worth buying!! If all the American fans hadn't complained, the American release would have had the Japanese language track removed. It is truly an epic tale. If you liked "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind", you will love this one! |
