YesAsia Editorial Description
Amuro turns into the Queen of Hip-Pop!
Namie Amuro's last release STYLE hit the album shelves in December 2003. On Queen of Hip-Pop she blesses all music lovers with more absorbing melodies including Free, Alarm, and WoWa. Among the highly recommendable tracks is also her dynamic title song Queen of Hip-Pop that is brimming with dance beats. With so much top material to back her up, Amuro no doubt is as ready as ever to supply the J-pop market with even more red hot hits!

Excellent album !
| This is one of the best albums from Namie, all the songs are beautiful and catchy, in particular, between the new ones, I like ''I Wanna Show You My Love'', ''I Love You'' and ''No''. I like the fact that, even if this is an album dedicated to only one style of music, I don't find it annoying or uninspired, you start with the ''hip-pop'' title track, you go on with the ethnic style of ''WANT ME, WANT ME'', the pop of ''WoWa'', the R&B for ''I Wanna Show You My Love'' and ''GIRL TALK'' and songs like the ballad ''ALL FOR YOU'' or the pop ''ALARM'' doesn't make the album sounding monotonous. For a Namie fan, this is a must have album for sure ! |

Good for Namie

While it is true that Namie's new album is more fresh, I just can't help but to keep going back and listening to this album! I believe these songs fit her style more, which is very laid-back & relaxed. "Queen Of Hip Pop" needs more life in it, but it's okay! "WoWa" is my favorite, which is extremely cute & fun. I also love "Girl Talk", another cute & fun song! "WANT ME, WANT ME" has a nice beat but I don't like it much because of the lyrics, which circle around sex and lust. I personally don't like songs like this. n_n'' "I Wanna Show You My Love" is alot of fun and sweet! "All For U" is okay, but vocals and music could've been better. "Alarm" has good music, but is quite dull vocally...it puts me to sleep, so I'm not much crazy about it. It's one of the worst tracks to me - GOMEN! =( "No" is probably the best track of the album. Very catchy! It wouldn't be fair for me to any other artist because every singer is different. Ms. Amuro isn't a favorite artist of mine but...for her, this is a great album and it is enjoyable!!!! |

This is a great album by Namie including all her wonderful Hip Hop hits from her past singles. However, I must say the one big factor missing is the emotion. It leaves alot to be desired in that area for the fact that Namie doesn't really write her own songs and I guess, unlike BoA who can still put her heart into them no matter who wrote 'em, Namie simply cannot. However, for some meaningless yet very nice dance songs that are just fun, this album is for you. Highlight tracks include "No", "Queen Of Hip Pop", "Wowa", and "I Wanna Show You My Love"! |

I love it!
I love it!
| This is also my first Namie CD. I love hip-hop so I definately enjoy this CD. Very upbeat tracks! It definately makes you wanna get up and dance. There's also the few ballads that are there when you feel like slowing down. For those people who like to work-out or go to the gym, this is an excellent choice of music! I take her CD everyday to the gym. I definately say buy this album, she wont let you down! |

This is the first Namie album I bought, and I'm impressed. I don't wholly love it, probably because I'm not really into Hiphop, but I like it with Namie. Like "No" and "Alarm". Track overview: Queen of Hip-pop - Good track to start out the album. Very catchy, too. WANT ME, WANT ME - I love this song! It's one of the main reasons I bought this album. WoWa - When I first heard this song, I didn't really like it, but it's grown on me quite a bit. It's catchy, and fun. I Wanna Show You My Love - It's a good track. I'm glad Namie dedicated this to her fans. Free - A very hip-hopish track. I like it, though. Very catchy. My Darling - The rapper in this could definitely go. It gets annoying after a while, but Namie's parts are great [glad she takes the majority of the track]. Ups&Downs - Very nice ballad. Cute, but not too cute, and very catchy. The collaboration with Nao'ymt is a nice touch. I Love You - This is an OK track, but not wholly wonderful. All For You - Very impressive. Namie's vocals are gorgeous, and the arrangement is lovely. A very nice touch to the album. Alarm - Extremely catchy. I have this song stuck in my head all the time! No - No doubt my favorite track off the album, next to WANT ME, WANT ME. secret track - Nice, short, and sweet. |
