出生、居住於京都市。自1979年起，花岡瞳就邊上班邊開始做拼布。目前在縫紉界非常活躍。1988年時，與松本慧子、清水良悅，合作於京都市的桂地區開店，店名為「Quilt House andante」。店裡不只銷售布料和拼布，同時還有拼布教室的教學。有效控制色系而形成的簡約色調、以及自由搭配使用棉、毛、蕾絲、亞麻等材質，營造而成的時尚氛圍風格，使得其作品廣受好評。著作包括：《花岡瞳個性生活縫紉書》（積木即將出版）、《花岡瞳的拼布 重新擁有生命的布料們》、《花岡瞳的拼布2 布料們的休閒時間》、《花岡瞳的拼布3 我的最愛》、《拼縫布包》等書，拼布作品不下百種，於1985、1994、1998、2002年等做過多次個人的作品展。

Tote bags, house dresses, embroidered wool quilts, innovative handbags - this book has the lot. The designs are modern and interesting. The wool embroidery is whimsical. There are ideas for adding decorative touches to your shirt or your tote bag, There are also patchwork boxes and applique framed pictures. Clear pictorial instructions - you don't need to read Japanese to make these fun projects. Highly recommended. |
