Racing Peak, TVB's anniversary drama in 1993, is another classic TV series by the famous TV producer Wai Ka Fai, who is also a movie director best-known for his comedies like Himalayas Singh. Felix Wong, a member of the legendary "Five Tigers" in TVB back in the 80s, returned to TVB in the early 1990s and Racing Peak was his first TV series after he re-joined TVB. In stark contrast with his roles in previous TVB dramas, Felix Wong plays a half-mad fantasist who is a witty man familiar with the horse racing industry. His excellent performance has opened up a new path for his acting career. Pairing up with the famous actress Amy Chan Sau Man for the first time, Felix Wong also collaborates with the then newcomer Ada Choi, veteran artists Tsang Kong, Wan Yeung Ming, and Leung Ngai Ling in this unforgettable TV drama.

As its title suggests, the drama is about the horse racing industry, a brand new topic for TV dramas at that time. The story focuses on Lee Tai Yau (Felix Wong), a man with high hopes who strives his best for success. His love triangle with the materialistic Chin Chin (Amy Chan Sau Man) and the innocent Chung Ngoi Ling (Ada Choi) form the climax of the drama. Alongside with his complicated love affairs is the "beauty and the beast" type of story between Cheng Kai Fung (Wan Yeung Ming) and Sung Siu Lam (Leung Ngai Ling).
