My favorite actress Chan Bo Chu

I am so glad Yesasia is bringing in Chan Bo Chu's movies- she is my all time favorite. As a kid, I would be mesmerize with her and wish I was just like her. I do not recall this movie and this one have a very intricate plot of family, honor, envy, greed,hate, love. I like Chan's tranformation from the picked on kid to some kick butt fighting hero. Sit Ka Yin, I liked her as the daughter of the wicked clan who's mother was the lover of Chan's father and how it all unfolds. Lots of bloodshed but it is not illustrated like in today's movies which I am thankful for. Furthermore, actors back then have to do their own stunts so even the fight scenes were not elaborate, they are real and plus Chan was in Cantonese opera so we know she can do all that. Get this movie if you like a good solid movie and Chan Bo Chu |

A rare piece of classic

This rare Classic is made in 1968. It is a must for your DVD collection if you are a Cantonese film fan like me. Good storyline and fine acting. Connie Chan as Cheung Ying Choi's "lost" son is excellent. Adam Cheng is so thin & young that you can hardly recognized him. Nancy Sit is also very young & pretty.Don'r miss this gem. Go order your copy today. |

In search of the truth

Pretty entertaining. The disc quality is not that great but better than other Connie's movie discs. Srong cast. Good storyline. The story begins with a killing spree. Connie's character has a father who was a great martial art fighter. The killer used his name in the killings. So he went to find the real killer. In his search, he met Connie's character who was actually his son...Many truths were slowly discovered. A strong tale of strong ambition, greed, envy, and love. |
