In the present, Xiang Li races to Tibet to chase down a post-surgery Party Secretary, who's looking for his own quarry: an English-speaking adventurer tracking down a wise Tibetan lama. With a cab driver and a dog in tow, the ragtag group encounters natural disasters, and become trapped in a perilous situation. Their savior: Fan Kang (Shao Bing), the former partner of Xiang Li's fiancn, and the only survivor of the original crash! Can he find redemption for his survival by rescuing the love of his former partner?
