An undisputed classic from Hong Kong's RTV, 1979 wuxia drama series Reincarnated was a sensational success, scoring ratings that threatened the dominance of rival network TVB. Fourteen years later, ATV made the sequel with the original's producer Siu Sang and star Norman Tsui, and it was again greeted with great enthusiasm from the audience. Also returning was the memorable theme song performed by Michael Kwan, and more exciting fight scenes and better special effects. ATV filled the cast with their best talents then, including Eric Wan, Lo Chung Wah, Erica Choi, and veteran actors Austin Wai, Lo Lieh, Eddy Ko, Poon Chi Man, Auyeung Pui San, Shirley Yim (Suet Lei), and Paw Hee Ching.

The story picks up right where the original left off. When he realizes there is no match for his supreme kung fu, the legendary swordsman Wan Fei Yeung (Norman Tsui) decides to retire from the martial world for a quieter life. He meets two good kids, Luk Dan (Lo Chung Wah) and Kiddo (Eric Wan) by chance, and later he gives his power to the fatally-wounded Kiddo to save his life. Unfortunately, Luk Dan chooses a path of no return when he practices some powerful but evil kung fu so as to seek vengeance for his persecuted family. He becomes this malicious mad man, and he almost kills Kiddo's lover, Chu Ching Chiu (Erica Choi). To save the woman of his life from dying, he has to give her most of his power. How can a weakened Kiddo stop Luk Dan from terrorizing the martial world?
