YesAsia Editorial Description

This solo single from Yukihiro, the drummer from the group L'Arc-en-Ciel, was originally written for the game "Devil May Cry". Yukihiro may hail from L’Arc-en-Ciel, but this song's guitar-heavy industrial sound is a far cry from that group's refined aesthetic!

totoally yukihiro's style Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Since this summer, members of L'Arc-en-Ciel have started their solo work, led by TETSU69. Almost without telling anybody, drummer Yukihiro also begins his solo work. The song "ring the noise" is the theme song of PlayStation2 hit game "Devil May Cry", to match the music with this horror game, Yukihiro produced a heavy-metal rock song along with his mysterious mixing. Also for the first time since joining laruku, he actually perform the song himself. Although not one of the most famous or noticable member in the band, Yukihiro is definitely the most experienced and skilled among the 4 members. Personally i think he is one of the most underrated member in L'Arc-en-Ciel. As shown in the band's previous album "ectomorphed works", Yukihiro has an incredible talent in re-mixing, and once again he shows that unique talent in "ring the noise". The song begins with a hard-rock background, then followed by his singing performance. In the middle the whole song suddenly gets into more fast-pace and rock. The solo part is a combination of guitar and Yukihiro's mixing. As a whole, "ring the noise" shows Yukihiro's hard-rock side, or perhaps his true self. Many L'Arc-en-Ciel fans blame Yukihiro as the band's music become less rock and more towards pop. this is a total misunderstanding, i think Yukihiro is a 100% rock star. If you are a heavy-metal fans, you must not miss this single, and as for Laruku fans, this is a must buy!

Sugoi desu yo! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Only released a few weeks after Tetsu's single, Yukihiro blew me away with "Ring the Noise". Being the drummer of L`Arc~en~Ciel, I (and I'm sure most of the Laruku fans) had no idea what to expect of yuki, but he showed fans what he had when he put out this heavy, industrial sounding, delightful jrock single. If you liked Tetsu's single, you will defintely LOVE "Ring the Noise". If I had to compare it to "Wonderful World", I would say it's better. If I had to compare it to the c/w of "Wonderful World" though, I'd say it falls slightly (but not too much) short. Now...we're just waiting for Hyde's single...maybe the trend will continue and Hyde will destroy both Yuki and Tetsu. *sighs* Just as long as Laruku stays together, I'll be happy.
