Aspiring actress Nagisa (Yuka) lands the role of the professor's murdered daughter, but no sooner does she hear the news, then she starts hallucinating events from the grisly affair. By the time she arrives at the hotel with the rest of the crew she is dreaming the entire event as if she was actually there. She sees the professor photographing his murders as he commits them. Nagisa awakes to find the very same camera in the bed next to her - so she takes the film to be developed!
Overlapping different plot strands, the past, the present, the film within a film, Shimizu creates an eerie and atmospheric chiller that ranks among his best work to date, and is guaranteed to send chills down your spine.
