Amazing Haido-san!
| Roentgen Stories is incredible in and of itself. Wish Haido-san could have done the entire Roentgen album in video. I have the Roentgen CD album in English. It was pleasant to hear the songs in Japanese in this video; now i will have to acquire the Japanese version of the CD. All four videos were wonderfully filmed! Evergreen, Angel's Tale, & Shallow Sleep were cool, but Secret Letters was chotto on the creepy side (did not like the vision of Haido-san in a coffin). But we love him anyway! |

Totally stunning!
| By connecting 3 old videos, reshooting some scenes and adding a brand new video (giving a total of 4PVs), this collection from Hyde's "Roentgen" album tells a really awesome story! If you actually look through hints in the original and then watch this, you'll probably understand the connection between the songs a lot more. "Evergreen" had a dead person near the cage. Then it connects to "Angel's Tale". And with a person falling and seen through the window, this connects to "Shallow Sleep". "Secret Letters" continue with the burial of the coffin in the "Shallow Sleep" PV. "Secret Letters" PV was actually done by a different director than the other 3 PVs so you can see his interpretation of what Hyde wanted to express in his songs here. The imagery is absolutely stunning, the songs are totally awesome (as always!) and it's definitely worth the money, even if only for a short 20-some minutes. |

It is one amazing DVD. Roentgen stories are beautifully told by Hyde through his videos. There are some shots that aren't in the original PV, which is created to make the continuous stories of the 4 PV (Evergreen, Angel's Tale, Shallow Sleep and Secret Letter). According to Hyde, there are some meaning behind all these releases, the reason why Hyde created all these videos. If he got another chances to create all the Roentgen songs into videos, it would be brilliant. I love his songs very much and this DVD is a very worthy collection to all his fans. |
