Rollei rolls out X-8 Sports camera, a semi-rugged digital camera that is waterproof and shockproof, with 8-megapixel resolution and 3 x optical zoom. X-8 Sports offers a Ten (10) meters water resistance, one (1) meter shock proof. Its sturdy, compact and lightweight design, which is absolutely excellent for outdoor activities such as snorkelling, leisure diving, hiking, canoeing etc. Weight at only 158g with size of 95mm x 59.5mm x 20.5mm and made of stainless steel.
The Rollei X-8 Sports digital camera offers 8-megapixels CCD, is ISO-accredited up to 1600, incorporates the most advanced features of smile /face detection technology (maximum 5 face scenes), anti-shake function, and anti-red-eye. The high performance 2.5" LTPS-TFT colour display shows sharp imaging and vivid colour even underwater. 24-comprehensive scene modes are available for different environments picture taking, ranging from basic landscape, sunset, pets, and panorama to user setting, which allows you to take the best picture. X-8 Sports can capture 640x480 or 320x 240 video clips and supports SD and SDHC memory cards up to 8GB. It is also Pict-Bridge compatible
Three underwater modes and three underwater white balances are designed for those diving or snorkelling passionate. Underwater normal mode – to capture images underwater; Underwater Macro mode – to capture close-up underwater images; Underwater Sports mode – to capture fast moving subjects underwater. The variety of underwater white balance - Sea Blue, Sea Green and Lakes to permits images to be captured under the best lighting. Neutralize your buoyancy and keep claim to assure a good quality picture taking underwater.
