Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story
Emmy award-winner, James Woods, stars as former New York City Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani in this remarkable movie which chronicles Giuliani's career and rise as Mayor of one of the world's largest cities, culminating with his leadership after the September 11th terrorist attacks. Giuliani proved himself to be a sensitive and strong political leader in the aftermath of the terrible events of September 11th and despite a history of bruising political and romantic battles he was hailed as an international hero. Giuliani had a real love/ hate relationship with New York City during his two terms as Mayor. This, along with his early career and high-profile, often tumultuous relationships, are explored. However, it is the events and aftermath of September 11th that are integral to the story and how he re-energised the City, capturing the spirit of a nation under siege.
