2009年11月25日 It's Absolutely Beautiful!Just got this artist photo book this afternoon and I've already looked at it 6 or 7 times. What it means is that I really love it and I think some of TVXQ's members best photos are here in the book.
When I first turned to the 1st and 2nd page, I already knew it was going to be a good photo book because the colors and style are of excellent quality and they remind me of other Japanese photo books that I own. And I was right because the photo book has turned out to be really beautiful. There are fewer pictures of TVXQ as compare to their Paris series, but the quality of photography is excellent and some pictures are outstanding.
I guess this is called the artist book because it is produced with complimentary pictures next to the members pictures for enhancement or contrasting purposes. There are pictures of flowers, ferns, metal wires, a house front yard with flower plants, a car's front hood with a license plate of 18-21 (I guess roughly their ages in 2007), blue skies and what else?
TVXQ's happy, carefree, somewhat relaxed mood, youthfulness and their individual characters are well captured in the pictures.
My favorites: Their individual silhouette pictures against the evening sky; their individual and group night outing pictures; their individual light color pictures; Xiah and Micky's picture in front of a wall; group picture at the warehouse; group pictures at a stair case in front of a house; the lively concert pictures,... etc. It just takes up the whole book! lol!
My copy is the 7th printing and I don't really care because it is really good enough for me.

2009年11月24日 It's a Pretty Calender!This calender is very pretty with its pastel colors and a Spanish villa setting. TVXQ fans should get this because the paper quality is really excellent and TVXQ look really nice. SarangAsianMusic is right:U-know stands out in the photos. I think he and Max have the best hair styles.
The only reason that prevents me from giving it a 100% is because they kind of look a little pensive at some of the pictures. Max is the only exception. 2009年11月24日 A Beautiful Film, Must Watch!
I've been a fan of Kimura Takuya for a long time. Through this film, I've just realized that he is an excellent actor besides having handsome looks and a lot of charisma. This film is one of the best that I've watched. The director is artistic and poetic, absolutely a master. 2009年11月21日 Singer:10, Music:7.8I like Hwanhee a lot and he is one of my favorite singers. From this CD, he has shown that he has wide vocal range when he sings ballads (track 5) and r&b as in Everyday. His voice can be soulful and powerful depending on the genre. He has excellent singing skills, and great emotional interpretations for his ballads and r&b, and his voice is very powerful.
Right now, he has diversified into electronica dance songs that should be easy for him. What I don't get is why are there all those unattractive chorus interceding in his wonderful ballads in Tracks 3 and 5. In my opinion, there are no better examples to show how excellent ballads can be ruined. Why hasn't Hwanhee be allowed to show what a phenomenal singer he is by singing solo in his ballads? That being said, please get this CD to support Hwanhee because he is worth it. Besides, you might not agree with my opinion on the ballads!

Gackt GREATEST FILMOGRAPHY 1999-2006 -BLUE-
2009年11月15日 A Must Get for Gackt's Fans!I couldn't agree more with all the previous reviews. Get both DVDs because Gackt is worth it. He is a genius, no less! :) Both DVDs give you a glimpse of Gackt's artistic and musical talents. I've also noticed his other attributes such as his keen sense of observations, defiance, and demanding character which I think have helped to propel him to stardom. I'm indeed his fan/dear and so happy to be one. He looks wonderful in all the mvs, but my favorite is the one on Mirror when he dances on stage with You and the rest of his band. This is a comedy that you don't want to miss. It's dark humor at its best. The cast was well picked and they all did an excellent job on their acting. 2009年11月10日 Excellent! 9/10
Wow! I just watched this movie last night and what a surprise! To me, the director has made a great social commentary on the psychological impaired that society and families want to ignored, cast away or sweep under the rug. However, they are also deserved to love and be loved. There are other issues and virtues that are touched upon in the movie. You might find the movie is illogical and the characters are coming out of no where, but watch it! Be warn that you have to be sympathetic in order to accept the some of the slightly uncomfortable scenes in the movie.
This movie is surreal and defines logic. There are some really pretty, sad and daunting scenes, and episodes reaping from children's books. The final scene is the prettiest with a rain bow above a canyon. I think this movie is tragic if you follow the impending outcome, but if the director applies his own laws of physics, then the end is beautiful, otherwise, it is just hope as life goes on.

2009年11月9日 Very Good To Excellent!I am a new Dir en grey fan and so I have a lot of catching up to do. :) This DVD package has excellent video quality that I think is the best that I've watched recently among the band's four concert DVDs. However, I'm not sure if this is the DVD that you should get if you're more interested in Kyo's singing.
The tracks are mainly from the Vulgar album, one of my favorite albums by Dir en grey and they are mainly rocks. You won't be able to hear the beautiful singing by Kyo as compare to other concerts. I don't know if it's me or it's the sound quality. The tracks kind of sound the same after a while. But, don't give up because the band's playings are excellent. They are wonderful musicians and absolutely among the best. So, you get to see the band perform at one of its best concerts.
I like Kyo in his sports jacket at fractions of the time in this DVD which combines 2 concerts together. (Please read all the reviews on the Limited Version of this concert.) I think Kyo hurt himself on the lips (?) and the editing of the DVD just switched to another concert to give a better look of Kyo.
Actually, Kyo's look is more presentable when he wears a shirt or jacket because his tattoos will distract you a bit. lol! If you don't mind his grunge, punk or visual kei looks, he is absolutely a wonderful singer. Oh, there is also a handsome guitarist. I don't know if he plays the bass or the regular one, but he is very good looking. I'm a really bad fan because I haven't figured out all their names yet. :)このレビューは参考になりましたか？ はい (このレビューについてクレーム) -
悲しみよりもっと悲しい物語 （香港版）
2009年11月9日 It Could Have Been Better!The title of this movie (AKA:A Story Sadder than Sadness) turned me off initially. I decided to give it a try anyway because I like all three leading actors and actress, and also Kim Bum Soo sings the title song. I was disappointed right from the beginning because Kim Bum Soo could only be heard about less than two phrases (I think) from his song and nothing else in the first disk nor from the second disk. I think I probably get punished for not getting the DVD version of this movie. lol! It doesn't matter because Kim Bum Soo has tons of ballads that are better. The ballad by Lee Seung Chul is very good, but his part with the other TV executive at the beginning of the movie doesn't really set the tune of the movie for me.
The story line and the script of the first half of the movie was a turn off for me and I thought I couldn't have watched a worse movie than this one. The first two things that Lee Bo Young said to catch Lee Bum Soo's attention would be considered as sexual harassment in the wrong hands. And the ugly outfit that she has on in front of the coffee machine is a big no no. Also, her behavior toward the new female singer was unattractive and unprofessional. I got kind of annoyed and felt asleep before the first half disk finished.
To me, the second half of the movie is what salvaged it from being a bad one. It did bring tears to my eyes when Lee Bo Young in her dream (?) saw Kim Sung Woo left swiftly in the same car with her deceased family members. Yes, there are some cute moments and Lee Bo Young looks very attractive and pretty in her wedding dress and you feel so sorry that Kwon Sang Woo is not her groom. The twist and turn of the movie make the movie a little more compelling and forgiving, but I just can't agree with the storyline completely. It is flawed. 2009年11月3日 Hyde Fans Get This Photo Album
First of all, this photo book is not hard cover. It would have been perfect if it is. However, it's really thick with a lot of pictures of Hyde when he was on tour in L.A. and San Francisco. My copy was separated at the binding after I read it a copy of times. Get it if you're Hyde fan! You won't be disappointed because Hyde looks so wonderful in almost all of the pictures. I used to live in the San Francisco area and it really amazed me to see Hyde underneath that street sign of his name in a picture. At the time I didn't even know who Ha Ji Won was, but I liked Kim Jae Won a lot. I enjoyed the movie, although I agree that it could have been better. I don't remember much especially the 2nd half, but Ha Ji Won was very funny. She is now probably my favorite actress. Watch it if you're her fan or Kim Jae Won's. I usually enjoy movies by my favorite actors or actresses regardless. This is probably one of those. I forget what I did with the OST.

Get the reprint if it comes up in the future, otherwise get the Last Live Video or the Dalia Live Video separately if they are available. The ballad, Crucify My Love which is my favorite by Toshi, is in both concerts. Also, try to get the Live Live Live Extra CD which contains the following tracks:
1. Kurenai (Red)
2. Wriggle
3. Heath Solo
4. Hide Solo
5. Piano Solo
6. Drum Solo
7. Orgasm
I've been addicted to this CD lately. The Drum Solo track is my favorite besides Wriggle, Heath Solo and Hide Solo. I was completely overwhelmed and surprised by the fusion of classical composition into the track. It sounds like Mascagni or Tchaikovsky's works, sorry I don't know. (Perhaps other fans can tell us!) It is the opening track of one of the concerts. It is absolutely beautiful! And if you listen to the other tracks play by Hide and Heath, you have no doubt that they were the best! フィソン 6集 - Vocolate
2009年10月29日 Talented & Versatile WheesungI've been Wheesung's fan for a few years and let's say he has never disappointed me. He is to me, the best r&b singer in his genre and period a few years ago. Of course, he is different from Brown Eyes and Moon Myung Jin, my other favorites with different r&b styles. Anyway, that's how great I think he was with his older r&b tracks.
Wheesung has diversified his genres now that include almost everything with the latest electronica hip-hops in this CD. My latest favorites from him are ballads now, Tracks 11 and 12. There are pleasant r&b tracks that I like as well. He is excellent in almost anything because he is a gifted and talented singer, and fine musician, no less.
I'm really happy that I'm Wheesung's fan. I think he works too hard. Hopefully, he will give his vocal cord a good rest for perfect extreme high notes next time, something that Tracks 2 and 3 are lacking. Also, Track 12 despite having a nice melody, in my opinion, can be improved greatly and is kind of a waste because it sounds like a military march while Wheesung is at his best. Get this CD anyway because he is worth it!

風の国 韓国ドラマOST (KBS)
2009年10月27日 Excellent Ballad by Wheesung!I'm now watching the series The Kingdom of The Winds. I have decided to get this OST album because Wheesung sings this emotional and heart felt ballad through out the series. It's the best ballad that I've heard from him because he is more of a r&b singer. He is, as I've repeatedly mentioned before, one of my top favorite singers. Also, Kyun Woo and Park Wan Kyu's tracks are very good.
The music director who also produced the Emperor of The Sea OST is excellent because he knew how to pick the best singers. That album is among my all time OST favorites and the track, You Left Me by Kim Bum Soo is my favorite ballad. 2009年10月20日 Nice Poster of GacktThere is a thin poster of Gackt (one side only) that comes with this magazine. The poster is a shot of gackt at his latest concert, holding a guitar and raising one hand up high with a guitar pick. He is dressed in a nice red Scottish shirt, white tee shirt with designs underneath, and white pants. It is simple, but I like it. The poster would be more desirable if the paper quality is better and Gackt does not have this little piece of metal on his nose which looks like something to support eye glasses or actually is part of a head gear. It is not attached to anything, just resting on his upper nose. Please pardon my ignorance, but I really don't know its function or purpose. May be it's part of Gackt's style, lol! There are other pictures from his concert, not a great deal to report on.

COLORS - Melody and Harmony / Shelter (SINGLE+DVD)(日本版)

2009年10月19日 It Has Soul!Just watched the DVD last night before I write this review. The first track, Melody and Harmony has a simple but catchy melody, a song that is easy to remember. It has soul, apart from many songs that's been popular lately. Both Micky and Hero are excellent singers, and musically talented as well in my opinion. They care about music and possess the natural born abilities to compose. They would not have been able to produce this track if they don't have the musical talents and the underlying emotional desire. The mv in the DVD is simple: A better world with beauty and harmony, the message that they convey in their title song. The mv is not very sophisticated, but you get the message anyway.
Vocally, Melody and Harmony is not perfect. Micky's voice fits perfectly in the track and Hero's voice is slightly high pitched. The synthesizer sound in the track can be improved or removed because it is somewhat artificial. The (less vocal) track gets a 4 stars rating.
I think a lot of listeners will prefer Shelter. It gets a 5 stars rating after I upgrade it. Hero sounds his normal self, while rapping and everything else are good.
I also bought the CD version. The only difference is the length of Melody and Harmony has increased to 6:47 min.
Please support Micky and Hero who are fine musicians in the making. I wish them success in whatever they pursue, and also hoping they will perform again with the rest of the TVXQ members in the not so distant future. Love from their fan! :)このレビューは参考になりましたか？ はい (このレビューについてクレーム) -

2009年10月18日 Excellent! A Must Get!Just got this yesterday and I'm so happy to write a review for Dong Bang Shin Ki. They have converted me from a curious listener from my first DBSK CD, Rising Sun Album to a die-hard fan/Cassiopeia symbolically, lol!
All DBSK members have matured beyond their debut Japanese solo albums. Just listen to their individual solo tracks in this concert will give you some idea of the change in their vocal abilities and diverse ranges. All their solo tracks are 5 stars after I upgraded Max' solo because it requires more than one listen.
My favorite solo has to be Micky's Love Bye Love. He is a jazzy singer in this slow ballad. Surprisingly he reminds me a little of Kangta. Xiah's Xiahtic is an attractive pleasant r&b and his voice is attractive with the right touch. Hero's slow r&b ballad is a surprise because he is jazzy, a little coarse at the last third of the track when he is not in his usual high notes. He sings emotionally and with a lot of feelings. It is attractive none the less. And who said U-Know can't sing? Just listen to his Checkmate, a r&b electronica which is pleasant with the right beats. He sounds sexy and a lot better than other singers. And Max' voice has grown more mature and powerful lately. His vocals in the solo track here is very different from his voice in group singing. It is slightly higher pitched than his normal singing, showing his vocal range in a different scale and style.
I've found all members of DBSK talented in their own ways. They have great synergy together as a group and individually they are excellent singers, better than some stand along artists in my opinion, not to mention that they are dynamite dancers.
I have a lot of 5 stars from this package which contains 34 songs. I gave 5 stars rating to my old favorite tracks:Wrong Number, Purple Line, Mirotic and Love in The Ice. Rising Sun gets a 4 stars rating. And there are many other 5 stars and 4 stars tracks, too numerous to mention here.
This concert CD is a must get for DBSK fans! DON'T MISS iT! It's worth every penny! I'm looking forward to the DVD publication of this concert!!!!!! :)このレビューは参考になりましたか？ はい (このレビューについてクレーム) -
4th Live Tour 2009 -The Secret Code- Final in Tokyo Dome (日本版)
2009年10月11日 Additional CommentsJust finished watching the 2nd disk. I echo SarangAsianMusic's comment that TVXQ has come a long way in Japan. Performing at Tokyo Dome is testimonial to their triumphant success and popularity. They have indeed arrived! The concert is by no means perfect if you include other elements, but TVXQ's performance just tops everything else. Regardless of whether the concert songs are your favorite, just watch it! You won't regret it because they are excellent in almost everything!
Hero and Micky have debuted their new track at the concert. It is wonderful and I'm so glad that I have pre-ordered both CD versions.

2009年10月11日 A Collector's Item for L'Arc~en~Ciel FansI just had to get this album because I'm a new die-hard fan of L'Arc~en~Ciel. Musically, I don't like this album as much as their later albums because the drums are just too prominent in most of the tracks when Sakura was the band's drummer. Don't get me wrong. He is excellent. But I just like Yukihiro whose drumming technique fits in better with the group's music, more harmonious I think. Early on in this album, their first I presume, you can just tell Hyde was already a gifted singer and Ken was so talented with his guitar playing. The pamphlet contains pictures of all the members when they were much younger. Hyde had long hair and liked like a girl, lol! Tetsu and Ken looked so nice and wonderful as well.
