　　故事的舞台是18世紀中期的歐洲。擁有日本人血統的少年天馬及夢想成為畫家的亞倫是一同在孤兒院長大的好友。

　　某天，亞倫在森林中遇見自稱是潘朵拉的少女，之後在他體內的某種東西開始甦醒。另一方面，天馬解救了村落的水災危機，偶然被黃金聖鬥士童虎目擊，他認為天馬甚具潛質，鼓勵他成為聖鬥士。天馬與亞倫分別來到聖域，重遇孤兒院的童年玩伴──少女沙織。而沙織正是轉生了的雅典娜。

　　經過兩年的訓練後，天馬被承認為天馬座的聖鬥士，然而，這個時候，因為自己所畫東西失去了生氣而苦惱著的亞倫，再次遇上的潘朵拉，並甦醒成為冥王『哈迪斯』……
