Explosive and poignant! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Everyone knows that Saishuu Ressha is an amazing song that reflects Mucc's growing talent, but what is even more impressive than the title track is the b-side, Akanezora. In style, it is unlike the title track and is a combination of hopes and dreams that builds and builds until it explodes! Tatsurou’s voice is phenomenal and there is simply nothing bad that can be said about this amazing song.

Saishu Ressha Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
At first I was dubious to pick this single up. I'm quite a big fan of MUCC, and one without much cash at that. So making a dive on any CD that I've not heard is a big one for me. I'd not heard the previous 2 singles, Ame no Orchestra; and Kokoro no Nai Machi, I had no clue how MUCC would sound after their previous release, Kuchiki no Tou (live in roppangi).

...Of course, this is MUCC right? It CANT be bad...

..and low and behold my ears beheld something amazing! This is one fantastic single. However, if you're expecting a typical MUCC song,be prepared to be dissappointed. The opening to Saishu Ressha really threw me off as I'd expected something more... standard. However, I was wrong. Of course, you can still EASILY tell that it's mucc. There's Tatsurou, singin' away, theres all that gorgeous noise. but... the song structure; the guitar parts- they've metamorphed. True, their SOUND is still as prominant as ever, but they've matured way beyond their usual repertoir. Some critics might point at it and yell 'pop senibilities', and to some degree, they are right. this song got stuck in my head many times despite not even knowing the lyrics ('cos I'm one of those baka-gaijin) a number of times, days after listening to it. But hey, thats NOT a bad thing.

As for the Second song. All I can really say is that it's good. It's uplifting and definately not as dark as older songs- which to me isn't quite as appealing- but it's definately good. And not very typical of mucc either, despite its small similarities to previous mucc tracks.

This song is really unique, and I would reccomend it to you as one of those 'must-haves' if you're one of those let's-buy-great-singles types. I've been into MUCC for quite some time, and if you're a first time fan, I would not reccomend this single if you intend to hear what MUCC are usually like. I think a lot of their other songs are brilliant (as is this one!) but it's by no stretch a MUCC-á la-MUCC song. But If you're buying a couple of brilliant JRock Single, get this one.

[[ As a small note on packaging, the CD case is right-to-left format- very Angura Kei- MUCC, we love you guys! ]]

I have only one complaint about this single. I want more tracks!!! ^____^

And now, I wait in anticipation to hear Hoyoku (their new album) and hope that their new, interesting sound is as brilliant as this single.
