Ok, I can understand not all her singles are hits but I'm disappointed with the tracklist, again no ''Kiss'' as her previous best album and she can't leave out hits such ''Love, needing'', ''Dancing'', ''P.S MY SUNSHINE'', ''Season of love'' and ''Yume ga Saku Haru'', she can't!!! I totally changed my opinion thanks to the lyrics, the power of Miyavi is there. The catchier songs are ''Freedom Fighters'', ''Senor Senora Senorita'', ''Itoshii Ito'', ''Kimi ni Negai wo'', ''Neo Vizualism'' and ''What a Wonderful World'', the other ones sound avarage at first listen but finding the translations of the lyrics they gain a lot !!! With such songs like ''Koi wa groovyx2'', ''BAILA BAILA'', ''Brand New World'', ''BREEEEEZIN!!!!!!!'' and ''LOVE MACHINE GUN'', Yuna shows us the direction she is taking. There is still ''trust you'' which is a ballad that has nothing to envy to ''ENDLESS STORY'', ''Precious'' or ''Truth'', there is ''miss you'', there is ''No one else'' (another beautiful ballad) but stop, all the album is full of dance, even the R&B of ''WISH'' is left out. And she is experimenting new sounds too, ''love you'' and ''Body'' are very interesting songs. April 25, 2009 Best Ayumi Hamasaki's album ever!This is the album which got me definitively into Ayu. ''Moments'' and ''INSPIRE'' were love at first listen and then ''CAROLS'' convienced me to listen to the full album : since then Ayumi Hamasaki became one of my favourite Japanese singers! From the intro, you understand immediately the power of this album, the only track I skip sometimes is ''winding road'' but the rest of the album is a masterpiece. April 19, 2009 Simply Namie but not at her best...The ''Queen Of Hip-Pop'' is back with another catchy R&B single. Two songs more than enjoyable but I have the feeling that something lacks in these two songs, probably the originality. These maxi single gave me the same feeling of ''PLAY'', super good at first listen but I lost the need to listen to it very fast. I begin with the old songs : ''TAKE BACK'', ''Crazy 4 U'', ''COLOR OF SOUL'', ''Cutie Honey'', ''Butterfly'' and overall ''real Emotion'' are simply wonderful, I wish she'll make other remixes of her old songs because they took back my interest for them. About ''Koi no Tsubomi'', the ''A cup of milk tea bossa nova version'' was nice but this one is catchier because it's techno-dance. The new mixes for ''BUT'', ''Get Up & Move!!'' and ''Ai no Uta'' are excellent, I always thought ''Ai no Uta'' had a good melody but a weak arrangement, the two remixes released (one in the single and one in this collection) made me love this song which I didn't like so much. My last review is for ''anytime'', I'm glad Avex decided to release it cutting three minutes of it because it was too long for my tastes and it was only included in a limited edition single. Listen to ''Lollipop Candy Bad Girl'' for example, it's really funny. My personal favourite song is ''Heavy Starry Chain'', almost all the tracks are enjoyable even if any are too short. She is well known for the song ''I Will' for being the theme of the ''Full Metal Alchemist'' anime but stop. There are so many other good songs in this best album, for example ''Fortune'', ''Glisten'', ''Part of me'', ''Get Over'', ''to YOU'' and ''Hikari'', it's a great way to start knowing her. In the second CD there are also included all her covers plus the new song ''AINOTE''. I advice this best album for anybody who like a style mixed between pop/R&B/dance. March 23, 2009 Energetic!This is probably the album in which Ayu's musicians used electronic sounds the most! Another thing I've noticed is that some tracks contains samples from her old songs, for example ''NEXT LEVEL'' is an evident mix between ''BLUE BIRD'', ''Beautiful Fighters'' and ''glitter'' and ''identity'' is a rip-off from ''1 LOVE'' and ''decision''. However the results are not bad, I love both the songs. ''EnergizE'' and ''LOVE 'n' HATE'' are absolutely amazing thanks to their powerful techno-dance arrangement. ''Curtain call'' is the only relaxing moment of the album, very nice ballad though. And obviously all the four A-sides included are wonderful. Another must have album with no doubt! Finally another R&B album, it's been years I was waiting for an album like this from Hikki ! I love every single song, Come Back To Me, On And On, Apple And Cinnamon and Poppin' are my favourites ! I still think that EXODUS is 1 step forward but it included awful songs like Easy Breezy and You Make me Want To Be A Man... people that made reviews before listening to the album, what did they think about ? If I think that the original version is way better than this one, what a regret ! February 24, 2009 Ayu ''Rule''s !Here we go with another excellent double a-side single! ''Rule'' is a catchy rock song and ''Sparkle'' is a dance track mixed with some rock very enjoyable. This edition comes with a remix and acoustic version of ''Days'', I 'm personally not too fond about the remix, I find it too rough for a ballad like ''Days'', instead the orchestra version is sublime. February 22, 2009 Welcome back Nanase!After three years of silence, Nanase is finally back! To emphasize the fact that this album is her ''REBORN'', the title wasn't enough, so we have a re-arrenged version of ''Yume Miru Shojo wa Irarenai'' (her debut single) as open track. The album is mainly pop, the rock is almost absent. Very beautiful the songs ''REBORN'', ''Glorious Night'', ''[Sukidayo]'' and ''Circle of Life''. Easily forgettable the other ones.
