第二次世界大戦中のビルマ北部。密林では、米軍大尉に率いられたゲリラ隊が、優勢な日本軍に対し、厳しい戦いを繰り広げていた。そのゲリラ隊を指揮するのは、アメリカ人の大尉、トムとイギリス人のダニー。二人はインド軍と連絡するため、カルカッタへと向かう。戦略会議の前夜、トムはイタリアから避難してきた美しい女性カーラと、貿易商の中年紳士リーガスに出会う。トムは訳有りなカーラに惹かれていく。翌日トムとダニーは日本軍の戦略上の拠点である北ビルマ、ウバチの攻撃命令を受ける。会議の数日後、リーガス邸に招かれたトムは、カーラからリーガスとの複雑な関係を聞かされる。マラリヤにかかったダニーを残し、トムは密林へと戻るが……。 オリジナル予告編
