February 21, 2007 Awesome!!This is probably one of the best Korean dramas I have ever seen. The story line was interesting and the acting very good and believable. The choice of cast was in my opinion nothing short of amazing. The actress playing Ju Yu Rin really makes you love her more and more with each and every episode. The actress playing Kim Sae Hyun is incredibly beautiful even if she is sort of villanous in some ways. I am sure the girls will go crazy over the two male leads. Sorry but I am a guy so I won't comment on them except to say that they were very good also. I rank this drama up there with Autumn Story which happens to be my all time favorite. January 26, 2007 A little disappointedI bought this DVD on the strength of Shunji Iwai's other well known movie "Love Letter" but was a little disappointed by this one. Yes it seemed short and there did not seem to be a coherent plot. I left feeling like the film ended prematurely. I also felt the movie dragged at times. The saving grace is that Matsu Takako's performance was good and she is very pretty. Also the scenery in Japan is so beautiful. I remember one scene where snow was lightly falling amidst what I believe were cherry trees. Absolutely stunning. It made me want to go to Japan to live and experience life there. If you like fast and driving rhythms, this CD is not
for you but if you like ballads you will certainly be
pleased. Mi Yeon's voice in the majority of the songs has a very mature sound. It is delicate and pleasing. She also demonstrates a very good range. Curiously though, she also can turn on a very different sounding voice. Something like a teen's voice. If this is any indication of things to come, I anxiously wait for more. Buy the CD. I just got the Korean version and was totally blown away by just about everything. The scenery and music are just beautiful as well as the story and of course Nakayama Miho. To those who would watch this I would suggest reading the synopsis first because it could be confusing due to Nakayama Miho playing dual roles. This movie really reminds me of those "season" miniseries put out by Yoon Sok Ho. Shunji Iwai really is masterful in the way he composes the scenes. I am planning to get April Story now.
