YesAsia Editorial Description

Famous director Tsui Hark turned Leung Yu Sang's well-known swordplay novel into the epic film Seven Swords, but that was only the beginning of the project. Directed by Clarence Fok, television series Seven Swordsmen expands the story and world of Seven Swords into a more complete story. Featuring action star Vincent Zhao Wen Zhuo (Once Upon a Time in China V and Fist Power) and a line-up of well-known Hong Kong actors, including Ray Lui, Ada Choi, and Patrick Tam, Seven Swordsmen is as captivating as its cinematic counterpart.

In the chaotic years of the early Qing Dynasty, the land is torn from years of fighting and the people are suffering under the hard hand of the new Qing government. Dangerous times call for true heroes. The Seven Swordsmen, with the help of their powerful weapons, decide to leave their quiet, cloistered lives with a noble mission...

In this kung fu saga set in 17th century China, the Manchurians have taken over the country from the Ming dynasty rulers. As the new Ching government begins a crackdown on martial arts practitioners, seven kung fu masters, each of whom carry a sword that represents one of the seven states of being, must struggle to keep their art and themselves alive. Based on the classic martial arts novel by renowned novelist Liang Yusheng, SEVEN SWORDS is an epic story of love, betrayal, friendship, heroism, and masterful swordplay.

pretty good Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
this series was pretty good.Hopefully, there will be a part 2 to this series. the only thing what i don't like about this movie is that sometimes they talked too much, too many computer stuffs, and a unfinish ending. Otherwise, it would have been awsome. i still recommend thougt.

Bad Bad Bad action movie Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
When I first saw the trailer, I thought that it was good.

Fight scenes were shaky with a blur and full of slow-motion. The story was dragging.

Huge disappointment.

AWESOME!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Im telling u all tht tis is one of the best series ever!!!!! compared to SOME (not gonna affend a ton of well loved series here...)series, the special effects actually helped! they did used a lot of wires obviously but at least theyre not in the air for like an hour without touching tree or cloud!!!! Acting is way perfect. couldnt agree more to the cast. zhao wen zhuo was totally perfect!! he totally displayed the changes throughout his character with the way he looks at people and how he talks!!! if u want to watch drama, u ought to study it(as in take classes to help u understand the aspects of drama)!!! at least its not rushed like the movie!!! ada totally fits her character!well tht goes for all the actors! i agree tht yu fang is just annoying but in the later sequel she becomes quite a major character....if u think theres a ton of special effects here....than u havent really seen special affects....just look around for CERTAIN series...the special effects here arent so overused at all! compared to most modern wuxia films, i dont think this contains much at all! i have seen special effects tht hav totally DESTROYED some CERTAIN classis series which is EVIL. tis is plainly awesome. practically flawless in my opinion

A disappointment Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
I actually bought this tv show because of ada choi... YesAsia said she's the "main cast" but after watching 2 or 3 dvds I still didn't see her.. she appeared way later.. :( and sadly... she doesn't have a very good part either... And as for the action part of this show...it was really terrible! I like hardcore action instead of all the posing slow movements, and fake computer effects..... They kept on repeating what had just happend, to drag the series longer and more boring.. Stop repeating it, I JUST SAW IT!! ... Oh and also, this is a chinese dynasty!! don't put in western country music background!! It's very annoying... And there is a VERY annoying girl in this whole series... She kept on getting sick, cry sick cry.. makes all kinds of scenes up!!! I was wondering through out the entire series.. "WHEN IS THIS GIRL GOING TO DIE???".. haha.. and guess what she lived!!! hm... I honestly can say that this whole series has made me very frustrated!!
It's such a disappointment .. the only TV series that I like of ada choi is the white hair bride.. wonder if any one knows any other good ones?
