This film features the legend of the last triad leader of Shanghai in 1920's. Fong (a Chinese) and Dawson (an American) befriend each other since childhood. When they meet again in Shanghai after twenty year's separation, they join to fight for the fame in the triads. They have undergone all hardship with their hearts and souls together. But when success comes, they begin to part... Their glory is jeopardised by the Japanese attack. Facing the turn of the time wheel the two friends become close to each other once again...

an excellent film about friendship Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
a wonderfully made film. its tells the tale of friendship between a white boy and a chinese boy and together they grew up and built an empire.

ofcourse like any good buddy film their friendship is broken by the usual issues that manly men usually has but its done so well and the ending is just enough to make you feel like you wish you had something like that.
