Naturally Talented!
| Wow, this is probably the best CD I've bought in years! These duo is extremely talented. They manage to compose and write every song themselves, and one of them even plays the arranged piano parts for every track rather than get a back up band! They are like the female and more compacted version of Tokyo Ska Paradise. I tend to like the upbeat songs better (ie. 88 Shikisai, Ai Katari, LIFE...), but the ballads are also very emotional and beautiful. The background music is always intricately adorned with sounds of a full orchestra. I received a first press version so mine came with a little mood chart thing which I found extremely cool! The only thing I would warn anyone against is the fact that it is copy-protected with labelgate 2 and I have not determined how to play this type of protected CD on my computer yet, otherwise, this is something a jazz/ska/lounge lover should NOT miss!!! |
