2007 Winter SM TownMarch 5, 2008 Exquisite!
I got this album after Christmas but that doesn't really matter; it's a great album!
I'm a fan of slow songs and ballads so that is why I liked the main song so much but there are other kinds of songs as well so it suits everybody^^.
I think that by putting the SM Town members together to make an album gives a great variety and also shows how talented all of them are.
I highly recommend this album to everybody. It really doesn't matter whether you understand Korean or not, this album is about talent!
Only Love - A touching ballad that doesn't get old!
12월 27일 - A slow but beautiful song that show off BoA's wonderful singing voice
Evergreen - Slow but wonderfully composed song.
첫눈이 와 - A cheery song that is sure to make you happy^^
We Wish You A Merry Christmas & Feliz Navidad - Nice accapella opening, another happy and cheery song!
Winter Wonderland - Beautifully sung with a nice instrumental as well
Love Melody - Very cheerful song that makes me happy!
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Well sung and slow. Relaxing listen.
눈꽃이 날리면 - Quiet but very relaxing song
Oh Holy Night - Nicely sung but didn't really like the pop-like beat at the end -_-
유년의 크리스마스 - Just a simple instrumental but it's a very nice break from the singing^^
여행기 - Uplifting song. A great finish!
And hey, if you don't understand Korean you can listen to the Korean songs all year round^_^
Hoshi no Nai Sekai / Yokogao (Japan Version)September 5, 2007 Catchy
The songs are very aiko style.
Hoshi no nai sekai is a not fast but not slow song that is a nice listen. I do prefer the second song, yokogao as it is more lively and makes you catch on to the beat pretty quickly. I'm not sure how to describe the third song but it is also catchy. Especially the piano in the background after the chorus.
Overall, it's a very nice single and I'm glad I bought it.
Made In Twenty (20) (Japan Version)February 12, 2007 Heading towards America...
Well, it just shows that people can have very different tastes because the songs I liked from "Made In Twenty" are different from the majority of people who reviewed this album.
I have been a BoA fan from the very beginning and am more used to BoA singing pop music. I was surprised to hear that people didn't like "Gracious Days" and "Still" which reflect her earlier style. They were my favourite, topping my most played list on my computer in a matter of days.
BoA seems to be aiming towards American style songs which is what some would like but not all. I like her more cute pop songs which I think fit in with the pop music of Japan and Korea.
Yes, I believe BoA will get more American fans after this but will they compensate for the loss of Asian fans?
4 hot wave (Ningyohime/With your smile/I'll be there/JUICY) (Japan Version)(8)1 people found this review helpful
November 2, 2006 Variety
'4 hot wave' is a surprisingly good single. I began to like Koda Kumi after I bought this single for a friend and she asked me to listen to it.
Koda Kumi is capable of making a variety of music. My friend who loves dance music and I, loving ballads could agree on a good singer for once.
Ningyohime is a punk style song, I'll be there is a slower simpler tune but a good song nonetheless and the others I cannot classify. They are more on the R&B side.

November 2, 2006 Impressive
'Best Of Soul' is a great selection of BoA's most liked songs. It was refreshing to have such a different combination of songs in one CD.
The CD cover impressed me a lot. I bought this best album straight after looking at it.
If you've ever only liked a few of BoA's songs, get this CD. You will start to like much more of her music and you will beat to a new rhythm.
Dango 3 Brothers (Single) (Japan Ver.)November 2, 2006 Dango San Gyo Dai:
Dango 3 Brothers is a single for all ages. It includes the song, and a karaoke version. It is a mini CD which I am not sure can be played on computers but they can on CD players. The lyrics are very funny and it is probably unlike anything you heard before.
If you would like a laugh, by all means buy the single. However, you may be disappointed if you do not understand the lyrics.
It will be an interesting experience none the less...
Sotsugyo TIME - Bokura no Hajimari (Normal Edition)(Japan Version)(1)November 2, 2006 Overall...
I didn't enjoy this album too much due to most of the songs having a similar sound. However, if that is what you are into, nothing is stopping you from buying it. The songs have quite a country sound to them, probably because of the guitar but focus is mainly on lyrics and the duo's voices.
There most definetely will be at least one song you enjoy, whatever your taste in music but the overall opinion can only be gotten once you listen to it. I recommend that you listen to some of the songs before deciding whether you should buy the album or not.
BoA Vol. 5 - Moto / Girls on Top1 people found this review helpful
November 2, 2006 Change Of Style
'Girls On Top' shows a dramatic change in BoA's style of music. Following songs such as My Sweetie and Shy Love from the album 'NO. 1' which are classified as cute, powerful music with a more punk type of beat to it from this album left me shocked.
'Girls On Top' includes the famous songs Moto and Girls On Top which gear more to the "American" style of music.
Everyone should at least give the songs a listen. You may be surprised that you like it that much!
Key of Heart / Dotch (SINGLE+DVD)(Japan Version)November 2, 2006 Quick Overview
'Key Of Heart' is quite a lively song with a good beat. However, its effect starts of wear off after the first few listens.
The music video is quite well put together and has all components a music video should.
I thought the best part of 'Key Of Heart/Dotch' was infact the song Dotch. It has a very unusual sound to it and kept me happy during the month of August when it was released.
This single is a good one to buy.
BoA - ValentiNovember 2, 2006 Valenti;
This is a CD which will please the ears of regular pop listeners. Whether you can understand Japanese or not, 'Valenti' will make you beat to the rhythm of the music. Each track periodically became my favourite song.
'Valenti' is a must for all BoA fans.
OUTGROW (Album+DVD)(Japan Version)November 2, 2006 What bad thing can I say?
An excellent CD and DVD combo. The songs on the CD include songs for every mood. Ballads are included, upbeat songs are included as well as songs for dancing to! The DVD included very well coreographed music videos; 'Make A Secret' being my favourite.
I recommend OUTGROW to anyone. I showed the DVD to my friends and no one had a bad word to say about it.
