In early 2008, K-pop gave birth to a new singing sensation: SHINee. Only a few months after blazing through the charts with their hit single "Noona Is Very Pretty", the talented idol boy band presents their first full-length album The SHINee World. Striving to become the leading trendsetter in all areas of entertainment including music, dance, and fashion, SHINee offers heaps of top-notch sounds that feature a wide variety of music from R&B to urban to pop, composed by such talents as Yoo Young Jin, Kim Young Woo, and Kenzie. The album's principle track Sanso gaat eun nuh ("Love Like Oxygen" - Track 3) is a cover of young Danish singer Martin Hoberg Hedegaard's recent hit Show the world. Laced in disco and punk hooks reminiscent of Michael Jackson, the song describes the three different phases of love as being water, ice, and oxygen. Other noteworthy tracks include the R&B urban-style number Geu nyeo ga hair jot da ("One For Me" - Track 5) featuring lyrics by singer/lyricist Wheesung; member Jong Hyun's first solo track Hye ya ("Y Si Fuera Ella" - Track 9); and the unplugged remix of In My Room.

good album to start your collection with Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I just discovered SHINee less than three months ago. Needless to say, I had a lot of catching up to do. I think this album is a great way for new Shawols such as myself to be acquainted with Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho and Taemin.

If you can't afford to buy all of the mini albums that they had released so far, this is a good album to start your collection with.

There isn't really a song that I don't like in this album, to be honest. As an R&B fan, I'm very happy that SHINee included a lot of R&B songs in this one. If I had to choose, I would say Best Place, Romantic and Replay are the songs that I, well, replay all the time :)

I have a total of four more SHINee repackaged and mini albums coming my way next week from YesAsia. I'm waiting for Juliette (Japanese version type B) to arrive next week and SHINee second mini album (Romeo), SHINee Mini Album Vol 3 - Year of Us and SM The Ballad Vol 1 by the 19th. I'm definitely going to overdose on SHINee, as if I'm not already addicted to them!

I cannot wait!

First of all, The SHINee World is a total must-have for all ShaWols. I purchased all 3 versions and I'm just satisfied. 

'아.미.고' got me hooked after 5 seconds. For real. I just love the song's powerful melody with fast beats. The choreography was just amazing and the bad boy concept was just perfect. Still, the boys delivered a very bright and fresh feeling and I love it :).

At first I didn't like Forever or Never a lot, the song kinda lack the usual melody, and it was somewhat annoying. But when I got used to it, the strong, firm confidence and energy of the song got into me. It made me feel motivated. Great song when you get bad marks or anything :).

'산소 같은 너 (Love Like Oxygen)' was very nice, the catchy melody delivered a fresh, brightful and cuter feeling in comparison with the track 1, and it was quite sweet. I'm sure the song will capture the hearts of all teengirls that ever encounter it ^^

In my opinion, '사.계.한 (Plugged ver)' wasn't as good as the original version. The unfamiliar electronic sounds didn't match well with the original gentle melody. Still, the new rap parts of Key and Minho surprised me, but I'd say I prefer the original song.

'너 아니면 안 되는걸 (ROMANTIC)'  was yet another great ballad track from SHINee. I'm fond of the smooth, gentle melody and strong, soulful vocals the song contained. They always make me feel warm inside :3

'사랑의 길 (Love's Way)', '내 곁에만 있어 (Best Place)' and '눈을 감아보면 (Four Seasons)' are ones of those trade mark R&B songs of SHINee. The familiar melody was warm, soft, brightful and sweet. They're those easy-to-listen-to songs, and I always love how these tracks soothe me :3

To tell the truth, '그녀가 헤어졌다 (One for Me)' was my ultimate favourite track from the album. The melody was sweet, warm, cute but yet still so mature and soulful at the same time! I could really feel the song, through the emotionful vocals of the boys, it's like they were singing a promise, and I personally think it's just cute and so brightfully romantic. The song wasn't too cute like '산소 같은 너', wasn't too young like '누난 너무 예뻐', wasn't too sad like '화장을 하고', neither was too powerful like '아.미.고', but just perfect. I love it :x

'화장을 하고 (Graze)' and '마지막 선물 (Last Gift) (In my room-Prelude)' were beautiful ballads of SHINee, listening to the gentle melody, it always makes me feel lightly sad and painful inside, especially when I knew the lyrics... But it's not sad in the bad way, in fact it's the kind of songs that I prefer. Praise the composer for creating such beautiful tracks and praise our boys for making them perfect :).

Jonghyun really impressed me in '혜야 (Y Si Fuera Ella)', but yeah, I knew we can expect no better from our Bling Bling Jonghyun. His vocal was manly, strong, powerful, soulful and addicting. It's like, he was born to sing, and especially songs like '혜야 (Y Si Fuera Ella)'. Jonghyun just perfected the gentle melody of the song. I totally loved it :x.

In my room (Unplugged Remix), in my opinion, is just as good as its original version. There weren't too much or too rough changes and the song still touched me ;-;. It's a shame Minho and Taemin didn't really have any lines, but what can I complain since JongYu's beautiful vocals had already made the song perfect?

The SHINee World (doo-bop) was a catchy song, powerful beat with powerful rappings and strong vocals that are full of energy, the song made a perfect ending for the album.

I don't really have much to comment about the CD packaging and booklet, but I love the boys' brightful, fresh expressions as they were smiling so brightly. I love their individual pictures, they looked so lively and young and full of energy. The pairings were still too random and still thumbs up for SM since it was interesting. Overall, amazing album, must-have for all ShaWols, there's no way you would ever be disappointed :)

Definite a must-have for all ShaWols. Or else just buy the album to simply complete your SHINee collection, still, I'm pretty much sure you won't be disappointed! I bought all three versions of the first album and I can't complain a thing!

'아.미.고' was a catchy song, the strong, addictive melody and impressive vocals got me hooked the first time listening to it. The song was powerful, and still it remained the trademark SHINee's fresh, unique concept.

Forever or Never was also a nice song, though I didn't like the song right the first time listening to it, the song's obsessing melody and the strong, unbreakable energy it delivers slowly got into me and yes, I would say it's a great song when you're feeling down :).

'산소 같은 너 (Love like Oxygen)' yet again showed the brightful, sweet side of SHINee that can steal all the girls' heart :x. The melody was no doubt addictive and so were the sweet lyrics. I love Jonghyun's vocal in this, it was especially powerful and got into me right away. The choreography was also very nice :)

'사.계.한 (Plugged ver.)', in my opinion, wasn't as good as its original version, the new beat was too thick, too electronical and kinda not suitable with the original soft melody of the song. Still, I was impressed with the new rap lyrics of Key and Minho :)

'누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)' was just... I just simply love it though I'm 3 years younger than Taemin OK, the song was just too sweet, too brightful and too adorable to resist. So I guess I'd just pretend I'm a nuna of SHINee and enjoy the song even more XD.

'너 아니면 안 되는걸 (ROMANTIC)' was a beautiful song. The melody was gentle, but firm enough to not turn mushy. The boys' vocals was amazing, and it gave me a comfortable, brightful feeling listening to :). I used to listen to the song a lot before going to bed, that way I may sleep well XD.

'사랑의 길 (Love's Way)', '내 곁에만 있어 (Best Place)' and '눈을 감아보면 (Four Seasons)' were ones of those trademark R&B of SHINee. The melody was bright, cute, soft and sweet, and so were the boys' vocals. Charismatic raps mixed in and yes, it became a good song :).

'그녀가 헤어젔다 (One for Me)' was my favourite track from the album. The melody was so sweet and brightful, yet still so mature and soulful at the same time. The boys sang the song with so much emotions, at least from what I could feel. They sounded so gentle and really, it's as if they're making a promise with their singings, somehow I just keep thinking like that. And it's truly romantic, I love the song a lot.

Urgh to all ShaWols I must say all SHINee albums are absolute must-haves. No exception when it comes to The SHINee World. I bought all 3 versions of the album, and they were all AMAZING!

About the B-type CD, I must say I didn't really like the CD front design and really, the text could've looked much better. But still, I love the black&white concept! The boys look chic and still cute at the same time ♡. This time I love their outfits, at least they match well, and no crazy colors. I especially love how they delivered such a warm, familiar feeling, just like those (cool) classmates of us XD.

I love how the boys, this time all wearing the similar outfits with the same colors, representing the one and only SHINee as a group, they still remain each boy's very own light. Onew's brightful smile, Jonghyun's confidence, Key's... Uh... divaness? Minho's charisma and Taemin's like-a-boss XD. Still, them all together represented the firm, shining SHINee that we love :) and I think that's the best thing. However, LOL at SM for promoting such random pairings in the booklet XD.

Overall, great music, great concept, great boys XD. Must-have for all ShaWols :)
