The film is almost too ingratiating (How many times will you hear a fat Chinese guy sing O sole mio? One too many), but it has a nice mourning tone for the old days and ways devoured by the new. ok
| I had to watch this movie in class. I guess its ok, but mant scenes are drawn out. Some parts are funny, like the guy singing in the shower. I think the movie tries to make points about how the changing economy and culture of china affects the father and 2 sons in the movie. |

An Excellent Movie
|
Tue, July 12th I saw this movie years ago in the movie house in Northern California. Like most of the independent movies, it came and went quickly. It was an excellent movie; heartwarming and touching. All actors were superb in it. You were watching something very real taking place in front of your eyes. It was about relationships, about family, about generation gaps and about human understanding. Don't miss it even if you are not Chinese! |
