Created by Takehiko Inoue, Slam Dunk revolves around the Cinderella story of the Shohoku High School basketball team. Redheaded Sakuragi Hanamichi is a problem child, a gang member and a loser in the arena of love, rejected by countless girls when he was in junior high school. This time he falls in love with Haruko Takenori, a die-hard basketball fan and sister of Shohoku basketball team captain Akagi Takenori. In order to gain Haruko's attention, Sakuragi decides to join the team. With hard work and stubborn determination, he gains the respect of Akagi and is accepted onto the team. Sakuragi eventually proves his basketball skills and becomes a starter for Shohoku along with Rukawa Kaeda, a fellow freshmen player with a huge following of female admirers, including Haruko.

Love it !

Love it a lot... Growing up with it.. Watching it over and over again.. Everything about the show I'm crazy for. It was very entertaining, Fun, Romance, and motivating. It taught me not to giving up everything you like no matter how hopless it is. Your dream, you love, ego..... Some of the scene I couldn't stop my tears. I couldn't image who I would become if I missed it. Pls. don't say anything bad about it. Don't say that..it was stupid.... I love it. Stanley |

A wicked anime
| anybody who loves anime should go and see this. It is extremely funny and it is a very long series so it should last u a good couple of weeks. I have not yet seen the redubbed version and apparently it sounds awful to a lot of other reviewers. Anyways, if u get the chance to see the original version, then i urge u to see it by all means. One disappointment about this series is that the ending ends with the team about to have a big tournament, and it ends there, in which i was confused as to about if i had the last chapters, but that is the real ending. |

Its so funny! u know i like it. All of my brothers loves the "Slam Dunk series" . They always longing to see it..because of Sakuragi!!! and it is 3 times already being replayed here in our television in the Philippines.
