After skipping out on 2008, SM Entertainment's popular SM Town compilation series returns in 2009 with 09 Summer SM Town. Though it arrives amid controversy, 09 Summer SM Town gives fans plenty to be excited about. There are only four tracks this time, but they're delivered by Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, and SHINee! The three super boy bands team up for the bright and breezy summer number "Seaside Stopover (Boom Boom)". The idol-powered mini-album continues with three more new summer songs, one from each group. Dong Bang Shin Ki offer "12:34 (Nothing Better)", Super Junior keep things cheery with Carnival, and SHINee make their SM Town debut with SCAR.

시즌앨범을 대표하는 SMTOWN의 여름앨범 '09 SUMMER SMTOWN'이 오는 14일 발매된다.

2007년 이후 2년 만에 선보이는 이번 앨범에는 아시아를 무대로 활약하고 있는 SM 소속
남자그룹 동방신기, 슈퍼주니어, SHINee 3팀이 참여, 선후배간의 훈훈한 우정을 보여주는
타이틀 곡 'Seaside 휴게소'를 비롯해 여름 분위기를 물씬 느낄 수 있는 총 4곡을 담았다.

타이틀곡 ‘Seaside 휴게소’는 신나는 레게리듬과 봉고소리에 어우러진 동방신기, 슈퍼주니어, SHINee 멤버들의 유쾌하고 개성 넘치는 보컬이 인상적인 여름 노래로, 해변가 휴게소에서
피서를 떠나는 차들을 보며 휴가철의 낭만을 떠올리는 내용의 가사가 재미를 선사한다.

또한 동방신기가 부른 ’12시 34분’은 동방신기 멤버들의 아름다운 하모니가 돋보이는
미디움 템포의 곡으로, 최강창민이 직접 작사한 가사에는 소중하고 예쁜 여름 추억을
담아 더욱 눈길을 끈다.

I just opened this album recently and it was so cute!^^ it had a violet and pink theme.there's a mini booklet there inside the cd but there's just like 5-6 pages...(don't remember^^") but the SM Town boys are really really cute^^ and the fan is just so adorable,just right for summer times^^ the first song is my fav in this album also the last track,SHINee's "Scar" but overall,the album is great.but they could've put in more photos...anyways,i hope SME will make another album like this for this year's summer^^

It was nice to see DBSK (TVXQ) take a break from their hot MIROTIC dancing and raps and their killer voices with that sexy concept, Super Junior rest their hands from their infamous SORRY SORRY dance and slick suits that make them looks like men with a look to kill, and SHINee taking time off from their new title as 21 century ROMEO heart throbs and make every girl want to squeal and out them in your pocket! The refreshing album was nice and really accented on that summer fantasy of beaches, vacation, and carnival nights with friends and family! It was a pity to see that it was only a mini-album after 2 years of no SMTown album collabs and it only featured the boys. It kind of threw me off because it came out like 2 weeks before I headed back to school. Also, really saddening for no SMTown 2009. Still, if you all want to see your favourite boy bands take a break from their new manly and hot concepts, listen to this album and remember we still have those 13+5+5 (23) cute dorks who will always be in our hearts!
