Ok, little can be said about their life performance dvd post Grandcross. Light my Fire still shines as their best performance most due to Hyde's inaptitude to control his vocal prowess especially life performances post Grandcross DVD. After Real Life, I had little taste for their life performances. Shibuya was pretty good, but Otakon kinda took all that hype away. But this DVD was really something. Edited from 2 month of concert, they took their best performances and then streamed them into 1 dvd. Most are excellent, like 'Time Goes On", "Hitomi no Jyunin" (Which takes tremendous breath to sing), and Niji, which I have to agree, probably their best live "Niji" on any DVD (Compared to Light my Fire, Grand Cross and even Tokyo Dome). If you think you like Laruku, buy this DVD. |

This concert was absolutely amazing, and being that it's their first concert with new material it should be! Their energy shines through the television screen and you start moving around like you were there yourself! hyde's vocals are extremely well-done, singing almost every note perfectly. He especially shines in "yokan", "Time goes on", "Butterfly's Sleep", "kuchizuke", and "Shout at the Devil". I was especially pleased that they played "yokan" from their indie days -- it was the first time they've played it in about eight years! It's a shame that only one MC was included and the DVD doesn't even include one of the encore songs like they did in the Club Circuit REAL live. The DVD would've been complete with the encore songs -- ending with 'niji' didn't really give it a "finished" feeling. But an appearance of P'UNK~EN~CIEL playing "milky way" was a cool surprise and gave something different to the concert. Who else plays their alter-ego band during their concert? Also, it should be noted that it's not one straight concert, it's all their concerts put on DVD. The editing is fantastic, and the cutting is done at especially the right moments, especially during "Coming Closer". That was an excellent song to show hyde singing in different concerts. The way they did it was so cool! All in all this concert was spectacular. I'd recommend it to die-hard Laruku fans and newbies to the band alike. I've watched it about five times these past three days and I never get tired of it. And their use of light and fire in the show is, as usual, breathtaking! |

| Don't let the cover make you think that it's not a concert DVD. =P SMILE TOUR 2004 DVD release is around one year after it actually happened, but well worth the wait. "READY STEADY GO" pumps the viewer up for the other two following hits. One of the highlights of this DVD must be the performance of "Yokan" since they haven't performed it for such a long time, definitely a treat! "Coming Closer" lets you listen to hyde pour his feelings into the song while it is a different mood when "Time Goes On" is played. tetsu's background vocals here are astounding, hyde's voice turns much sweeter sounding, and it is ken's only acoustic guitar performance here. Watch yukihiro rock on the drums for "Butterfly Sleep" as well as "Shout at the Devil" (hyde blows a kiss in "Butterfly Sleep too). "Hitomi no Jyuunin" is of course, lovely to listen to and hyde hits those high notes pretty well (not perfect though). For "Feeling Fine", you will definitely love the stuff they play on the big screens behind the band (it's so cute! but won't say what they are, heh). The only MC is right before "HONEY", and other segments are just backstage stuff (it's somewhat blurry on purpose do to the way they did it). "milky way" is from P'UNK~EN~CIEL and be aware of what tetsu P'UNK does when he forgets his lyrics. ^^ And of course, no one plays the bass with a banana like tetsu does right before "STAY AWAY". "Niji" ends the show magnificently, although it's not the usual "Anata/Pieces" ballad, it still provides a good ending. The performances were recorded from many different places, and you can see how sometimes they will show, for example, hyde singing one phrase while shifting from each performance (think "snow drop" from GCC 1999). This DVD is definitely awesome, and is definitely a keeper, especially when they would rarely put 19 songs on a DVD! |

| I just bought this dvd like 2 days ago and I was really impressed. In this dvd, they combined all the concerts they did within thier tour and they even had "Punk-en-Ciel" in there. Tetsu was really cute although his singing doesn't compare to HYDE's. Hyde looked hot...I recommend this way more than the u.s. tour they did. |
