Taiwanese rock band Sodagreen stormed into mainstream attention the past year with their second album Little Universe. Leaving a deep impression with their mellow, catchy rock numbers and lead singer Qing Feng's distinctive vocals, Sodagreen went on to win the Best Band and Best Lyricist Awards at the 2007 Golden Melody Awards. But perhaps the ultimate recognition came on November 3, 2007 when the band staged a concert at the Taipei Arena to a 10,000 strong audience, a remarkable feat for an indie band.
Sodagreen's new album continues the band's crowd-pleasing repertoire of folksy pop rock and earthy ballads. From the light and airy "Amusement" (Track 1) and psychedelic "Four Season Rhapsody" (Track 3) to the dramatic rock ballad "City" (Track 9) and soft, mid-tempo "Believe" (Track 10), this album is sure to win over even more fans for the band. Other songs to look out for include title track "Incomparable Beauty", an atmospheric, wonderfully arranged number that highlights Qing Feng's vocal range and distinct high-pitched voice, and "Left Side", a touching piano ballad in the tradition of "Little Love Song".

A landmark work
| This is nothing less than the "Pet Sounds" of Mandopop. It takes us far beyond the limits of the genre, always bringing us back home to the familiar. What is "only" Mandopop here, such as "Zuo Bian" (track 4), is Mandopop of the highest order. Don't judge this album by individual tracks or MVs on YouTube. It's a unified work, flowing brilliantly from the bouncy "You Le" to the shimmering "Xiang Xin," the tone constantly shifting from light to dark and back, both between and within songs. Albums like this, in any language, only come along a few times in a decade. |

SUPERB!!
| I'd like to give standing ovation to Sodagreen. This album is so great. I like every songs, I like the music, I like the lyrics. All the songs gave me so much fun. Qing Feng's voice is very suit to sing this king of songs. This album is really comforting. I think this album is the best album in 2007. |
