Very Emotional
| This movie was based on how SuenZi (Nadia) started from a poor person to fame and fortune. This movie shows the many struggles a person must go through and face inorder to get where they'd want to be. This also includes making sacrafices. It all revolves around family, friends, honesty, trust, lies, and money. This is quite an emotional movie bringing tears to one's eyes. I survived watching through the end but don't know if I could watch it again. Seeing such an unfortunate ending really strikes hard on the heart. |

a question
| hey can anyone help me. i'm vietnamese and i love hong kong's tvb series. but one thing is that i cant understand chinese. i can only understand vietnamese and english. so is there a vietnamese or chinese version that doestn speak chinese. i am a very big fan of leon lai. he is so handsome. my first series of watching him was the legendary ranger. i was so in love with him after that series. then one day i saw an older series of leon lai at a vietnamese store called the breaking point. that was an outstanding series. since i been watching tvb for 10 years now i think that was the best series i ever saw. i watched the breaking point for 4 times now and still not got bored. well anyway i really want to see this series songbird. any suggestion will do |

Wonderful serial but the editing was bad!

I definitely agree with Lena that the editing had a bad effect on the serial. Most of the cutting and editing was in the beginning part. I remember there was more to the part of how Nnadia joined the singing group all the way to when she left it. Her fame and fortune happened pretty quick in there. Besides the editing, the serial was EXCELLENT. No one could have portrayed the role better than Nnadia with her excellent singing in there. Most of those who watched it immediately fell in love with her and became her loyal fan. Such a classic and memorable role of her even after more than a decade since its original release. No other actress in TVB made such an awesome debut than Nnadia did in this serial. |

Editing and Cutting Sucks

First of all, this was one the better series of TVB (back in the days). I have two complaints about the VCD version of this series. Number One: there was too much editting and cutting (i.e. they cut the scene of the protest to Japanese merchandises- and the Japanese had an impact on the main character) Number two: Note that Aaron Kwok did not have a main role and appeared only in the first half of the series (so why the hell did he have so much credit?- Sorry to disappoint Aaron's fans- but I didn't want you to be jibbed ). The series was better as a whole, (read UNCUT). For those who have never seen the series, I would recommend it, but there are strong materials in the series and it is very depressing. Last but not least, why the hell did Terence say the series was boring- then give it five stars?? |

This was one of the best movies ever! Nnadia Chan was the best actress to portray this real life story. Maybe you're not used to these kinds of story lines. This is a must watch and must buy drama series. Even though is was Nnadia's first acting role she was Great! Props might have been a little old back then but if you think about it, the audience of the time didn't have any better props. that was the best they could have done. |

| SONG BIRD is a really good movie that i think everyone should watch, although it is depressing, but i love it. The characters were amazing. Im a fan of leon lai and nnadia chan. Right now im 16 and it is a good movie and I would always like to cry and cry when i watch it. |
