Freshly discharged from the Army, Sonny stops home in New Orleans where his mother, Jewel, runs a whorehouse. Trained as a lover, Sonny was raised by Jewel to be the best male prostitute in town. His clients, mostly older women, are desperate for his services. But Sonny wants to make something of himself.
Jewel has a new star girl, Carol, a pretty and fresh young prostitute who takes an immediate interest in Sonny and begs him to take her away with him. But the “straight” world doesn’t seem to take their kind. Every step Sonny takes, he gets knocked two steps back. Sonny has a final moment to find a way out……
