The film started out slow and when all the pieces put together and wham! It will take you to the next level, like you were locked up along with Eason throughout the entire kidnap process. For me, there were nothing but praises thought out the entire movie, in particular the drowning scene was very touching near the end of the film; I don't believe my eyes were all watery when I watched it every time. I highly recommended this one to anyone, as I still remember clearly what this movie is all about since I watched it long time ago. Go grab it! You wont be disappointed! Eason and Louis were excellent as they portrayed a pair of buddy went thru good and bad together. The film explored into various areas in HK adult industries, but combined with a very lighthearted approach. All the characters in the film have excellent chemistry combined with funny yet boundless dialogues was a blast! Overall, this movie was a surprise considered its base on this topic. I noticed this movie spotted a similarity with "internal affair" as the female role in the film is totally pointless-as Kelly Chan in "internal affair" and Crystal Huang Yi in this one. Crystal Huang Yi played a lawyer in this movie and my goodness; I can't believe how sucks she is in this film! Even thou I wasn't in HK during these times, but as a 100% HK citizen there was a lot of "feel" while watching this movie. The story telling was smooth; Eason and Miriam were excellent to portrait what a typical HK people were like. Even thou there werent any climax or sharp turning point in the movie, but I enjoyed the story telling a lot and I totally agreed with the central point of this movie trying to reflect-whats best for you is always beside you, you dont need to look elsewhere. June 28, 2008 good movieUnexpected good movie for Eason in his early days in EEG, the story was good and very touching; Easons performance was surprisingly good and way ahead of his time as a new generation actor at the time, Charlene in comparison was just ok. Overall, Eason's songs used in the film were match-up the story very nicely and make you remember the movie while you listen to the songs again and vice versa. Very nice! I guess this movie was used as a gear to tag along with the new release of Leslie new album at the time to promote the album. Overall wasn't a great movie experience, the only thing I remember about this film was the large amount of Leslies songs used in this film and I felt like I was brainwash. This movie basically is a knockoff of Stephen Chow's "God of Cookery" but not even 1/1000 as good. After 20 minutes into the movie, I was so fed up and wish to turn off the TV set. In the movie, each joke Wong Jing trying to pull and I can assure you non of them were funny-not even compare to any comedy made 30 years ago. Wong Jing you done it again! I only feel sorry for Charmaine Sheh as this is such a lousy movie for the few movies she starred in and this one definitely hurt her name in HK movie industry. Did you find this review helpful? June 17, 2008 pretty good!If you compare this movie to Chow's earlier work, you will be disappointed. But if you view this movie as Chow's attempt on kid's genre, it actually not bad at all on his first trying.
The story is linear and solid with great message behind; each characters bring you a memorable impact. Its a wonderful and touching film for both young and old. I enjoyed this movie.

(1)Our Price: US$10.99Usually ships within 7 daysRelated promotions:June 17, 2008 unexpected surprisewhen I first bought this movie without knowing what this movie is all about; my first impression was some kind of Hong Kong street racing movie in the 80s but turn out it was quite difference than what I expected.
In general, if you don't read the plot at all; the movie started slow with some characters development and stayed slow with few side stories branched out among this group of young people. However, in the last 20-25 minutes; the story will sharply turn into a quick and intense movie experience. This movie has its flaws but consider it was an early 80s works, I give it 7 out of 10.
