Good film.
| S.P.L. is a highly recommended film for everyone. The idea is kinda like Samuel L. Jackson's "Shaft". Cops on a rampage to get the criminals after legitiment actions fail. Well, that's what they do anyway. Okay, back to the movie, Samo Hung probably was the character that I favor since we all know what he is capable of. He's a heck of a bada$$ protagonist, especially the part where he's pi$$ed off because he was being bothered when he was talkin to his wife in jail. Never bother a man in jail when he's talking with his wife and baby. Good acting, story, casting, quality, action consistency, pace, music, and color correction. Overall, a 10. |

A Very Good Action Movie With A Good Story
| It's a pretty good action movie overall, and the story is pretty good as well. SPL is a few of the good HK films in recent years, like 'the Election'. Go watch it. |

Best movie ever!!
Best movie ever!!
| This movie is the bomb. Donnie Yen, known as the director for action sequence, is in this movie as well. His performance was superior. He can compared with Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Jet Li and other martial art actors. He is one of my best performer. In this movie, he acts kind of cool; the way he stands and walks. Anyways, afterall, this movie is worth your money. Go watch this movie, people!!! |

One of the Best of 2005
One of the Best of 2005
| I really liked this movie a lot. It was rare to see a HK movie without any popstars pretending to know kung fu and the result is something refreshingly good to see. Wilson Yip did an awesome job directing this movie. He brings us back to the good old days of what made HK action movies fun to watch. Real action stars that can really do action. The best thing about this movie is that it does not have pop idols. Yes, pop idols stay away!!!! Donnie Yen did a wonderful job as action designer. The fights were very fast paced and exciting. Jacky Wu plays an awesome bad guy in this movie with great presence combined with his amazingly fast and dangerous kung fu skills. His fight with Donnie was awesome. Both were moving so fast. Sammo Hung was awesome too. He plays a bad guy but he was an awesome bad guy. I personally like Sammo in tough, serious roles over his comedic roles. And for a man his age and size, he can still kick some serious butt. His fight with Donnie seemed a bit over-the-top but still it was all good. Easily the best action/thriller of 2005. |
