Young and carefree Xia Lei's (Han Geng) biggest dream is to become a dancer, but his father, an archery coach, wants him to follow in his footsteps. The misunderstandings between father and son only get worse when Lui gets kicked off the archery team. For Lui though, this is his chance to finally pursue dancing, and he's got the support of buddy Ah Bo (Kenny Kwan) and longtime friend Momo (Betty Huang), an archer aiming to compete in the Olympics. Momo, meanwhile, meets her greatest rival in Korean archer Zhenyi (Joey Yung) who just came to China with her sister Zhenwei (Yumiko Cheng), a talent agent looking for the next great star. When these young people cross paths, romance and rivalries flare in their journey to strive for a stage of their own.

　　這是幾個青年人勵志成長的故事。

　　91年，來自南韓的射箭高手申崇喚帶著女兒申真依、申真慧正觀摩中國的奧運會國內選拔賽。申崇喚告訴兩個女兒，3號選手將是爸爸打入奧運會後最重要的對方，話音未落，3號在遙遙領先的情況下最後一環脫靶，失去了前往奧運會的機會，舉座震驚。幼小的申真依目睹了一個男孩哭著衝出場去，那男孩是夏磊……

　　原來夏磊的媽媽在醫院病故，她的離去徹底擊垮了老夏。從此父子倆相依為命，隊中留任老夏為教練，老夏希望兒子能繼續他未盡的夢想，可夏磊根本無心練射箭，父子間形成了巨大的隔閡。少女田默默與夏磊青梅竹馬一起長大，田默默進了射箭隊，師從老夏。

　　夏磊喜歡跳舞，夢想成為一個現代的舞蹈家，而田默默卻成了射箭隊裏打進奧運會的種選手，師父老夏告訴她，她將來在奧運賽場上最強大的對手將是來自南韓的申真依。

　　夏磊想方設法通過自己的鐵哥們阿波進入了現代舞蹈團，他的目光始終沒有離開團裏的頭號舞蹈天才丁笑，丁笑的每一個動作都會讓夏磊回到自己小屋中苦練一個晚上。夏磊發現在這枯燥的日子中只有舞蹈能經他帶來一絲光明，一絲快樂。只有阿波知道，夏磊的功力到了什麼境界……

　　南韓的兩姐妹來到中國，姐姐申真依想提前見識一下射箭對手田默默。妹妹申真慧已是著名的跨國公司經紀人，來中國挑選明日之星。

　夏磊和丁笑都被申真慧選中，他們經歷了人生最為痛苦的磨礪、蛻變和成長，最終實現了人生的最高理想。申真依和田默默在分明知道是對手的情況下，惺惺相惜，互相從對方身上找到了人生價值所需的最大收穫，約好奧運賽場見。
