Star Tracks a la Leo!

Leo Ku has kept himself busy far beyond his explosive March 2005 concert spectacle "'05 Top Hits Tour Part One/Two" at the Hong Kong Coliseum. After taking part in a music documentation shot in Australia with Miriam Yeung among other stars, he went on to film a silver screen romance with Cecilia Cheung. Of course, he also worked on a new CD that now arrives as Star Track!

On his new highly anticipated album, he pays tribute to classic Canto-pop hits from the 70's all the way to the 90's. Leo invited Lin Xi among other top musicians to help him select the right tunes and also asked them to re-arrange the songs and come up with new lyrics. In that way Leslie Cheung's legendary Monica (Track 10) was turned into a mid-tempo love song. Also offering songs like "Dream Lover" (Track 05), "Genius + Idiot" (Track 01), and "Star" (Track 06) some of which earlier sung by revered stars like Faye Wong, Jacky Cheung and Aaron Kwok, nothing seems to be impossible on Leo's new smash album!

EXCELLENT ALBUM Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

I am not a Leo Ku fanatic, I am just a regular listener who appreciates good songs. I previously brought Leo's first 2005 which have fantastic songs and obviously propelled Leo's career. From first glance I noticed the names of the songs were classic song titles and assuming Leo will be re-singing the old classic songs andre-mixing the tunes. However, to my suprise, these songs are not remix but actually new songs but with classic song titles. To be honest, I think Leo would have been more sucessful in promoting his new songs with new song title instead. But overall, all the songs are very good and Leo proved he is a quality singer. This album matches the quality of songs from the earlier album.
