Without spoiling the story, things start to get really nasty, and their are lots of moral issues involved that would get you questioning on what you would do. There are lots of powerful moments and the story never goes quite the way you expect.
This film will really get you going and play with your emotions, and mirrors what happens in todays news.
The acting was very well done, with lots of great camera shots.

November 17, 2008 Simply ClassThis film is brillient, and I loved it. The story line is really good, with an autistic girl learning Mauy Thai and having to help her ill mother reclaim her money back from when she bellonged to a triad gang.
The actress who played the girl was simply great, she trained for two years just to fight, and the fight scence were very good.
On top of this the story pulled at the heart in a few places and had a mix of everything, and is on par with Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong. I really hope to see this acress do more she was great. All the actors and acresses were very good.

It was very slow paced, and was not at all scary. There isnt a lot of action in the film either.
However the plot of the story is clever and the acting was good, and while some bits were creepy, it wasnt enough. Sorry but this film I thought was poor, three quarters of the way through I found myself loosing interest.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

If anything it is a slow paced film, but you really get to know the chacters, and there is some good elements of comedy in there to. There is little action but what action there is, is very clever. Basically about a poor samuri who has to bring up his two daughters and look after his mum. You need to be in a relaxed mood to watch this one, but you will like it... January 29, 2008 Lust CautionBoth me and the wife saw this movies and thought it was great. The pace of the film was a little slow, but I think it works, and gives a real time kind of feel. November 23, 2006 YamatoThis film is excellent. It is more a story than of watching fighting. It shows the war from a different angle, and how the japanese coped, with watching loved ones being sent away. It is very sad but is also very couragous. You really feel for the people on board the ship, and understand the way they do things.

July 14, 2006 BrotherhoodThis film is a real epic. I cant rate it high enough. About two brothers being forced to fight in the Korean war. No matter what horrors they face, their love for each other never dies. The fight scense are brillient and very realistic. The film is very well put together. I am a huge war film addict, but this is way up there, possibly the best yet.

Absolutly stunning, very realistic and just simply breath taking. On making the film they wanted full contact fighters only, and this really shows how real the fight scenes are. The film locations are great, as were all the actors.
