The Truth About Still Fantasy
The Truth About Still Fantasy
| Like every other of his album, all the songs are composed by taiwanese mega star Jay Chou. Whoever knows Jay most is Taiwan since that is the first place thats heard of him. The album came in second for the highest selling album of the year behind of "Dancing Diva" by Jolin Tsai. Though the album did sell 3 million copies within only 3 month which is extremely alot for China, The album was bad compared to his other albums but better than his previous album "November Chopin" which was his lowest selling album. The album had good songs but theirs nothing different, no improvement. I also can't believe I'm seeing reviews saying their is not a single boring track. Well Majority of his fans find Rosemary a really boring song. The lyrics for the song seriously could've been a club song something really upbeat. He wrote three songs in the album if I'm not mistaken, they are good and they are actually something different but then the rest of the album just lacks in improvement which JAY is really know for, improving. The album is still a great album but then a disappoint to the people have been with him since the very first start. Lots of people just are too obbessed with his looks and they just get like death and say all of his songs are gooood. OPEN YOUR FREAKING EARS! |

The truth is, jay chou always amazes me with his musical and artistic talents and ability to just be completely different and hitting the mark. Its hard to live up to his previous success, but he just seems to out do himself again and again. The cd is amazing and its a treat for all music lovers The package itself is extremely beautiful and nice to look out. I was afraid to open it, thinking i might ruin it. Anyways the dvd was cool with the first 2 singles he came out with and plus a little behind the scene stuff when he was filming in london. The cd itself was mind blowing, from the first track til the end. My fav ones are 2,3,4,and 5. SONG #2 is called listen to your mom and he sings about why you should listen to your mom and how a mothers love is unconditional. the song is so sweet and it makes me wanna cry. Song #3 is faraway and the fact that he collaborated with Fei Yu Qing, you know this song is gonna be a hit. My mom even likes it. The two artists voices are so different yet they fit perfectly in this song. Song #4 is the song about the chinese medicine. The beats are very hiphop and his flows are awesome. its just awesome how hes giving props to chinese medcine. Song #5 is the jay chou piano ballad you want about lost love. Hes voice in this can break hearts. over this is a cd you do not want to miss. |

I love this album! Another favourite in the car ^^ My favourite tracks would be 1, 3, 5 and 10. Track 1: I love the use of different instruments, the violin really suits the song. Track 3: Love the duet. Great melody. Track 5: Lovely ballad, great lyrics. Love singing along to this Track 10: Beautiful song, love the music - sort of sounds like that traditional chinese music fused with modernity. Brilliant album. Great music, singing, story telling. |

Classic
Classic
| For those who has followed Jay from the beginning, you will recognize this album is very classical Jay. The title, "Still Fantasy," is accurate because it does bring back some memories of his older works such as "Fantasy" and "8D." This album is great because it is classic Jay Chou. He is such a talented man, and his other works are amazing. November Choplin was great but albums like that were fresh and had a new "feeling" to them. "Still Fantasy" is also great but in a different way. His lyrics are meaningful and mature in this album. Listening to "Listen to Mother" is such a great song and so powerful. His ballads on this album are so touching and full of emotion. Great CD. If you are looking for a classical Jay sound, but this album! |

Awesome!
Awesome!
| I have to admit that I was not let down by Jay's latest cd. I think all the songs are really great, my favorite song is "ting mama de hua" because of its fun upbeat tune, but all the songs are great; there isn't even one that I don't like! The dvd is nice...but, I like the making of footage better than the two videos. The poster is also great, super big and nice high quality paper. Overall, this cd is better than I even expected, I think he has definitely improved and is continually setting the bar for his music higher and higher. |

I'm a Jay fan and i own all his cds. My first impression, after listening to the whole cd, is that the first half of the album blew me away while the second half was kinda...well...required more time to get into. That's cos all the hit songs are placed at the beginning of the album while the slow and familiar ballad type songs are placed at the back. My favorite tracks are definately the first three. You will instantly recognise track1 as a Jay song. The added type-writer sound effects and female voice adds a sense of mystery to the song. I've been listening to track2 non-stop. The beat is catchy and the lyrics are meaningful (although a little mushy). I wanted to see Jay sing more duets, so i was curious about track3. It's good, but like others say, the other guy (Fei YuQing) does sing quite a large amount of this song. At least it sounds good. Track4 is the fast-type song that most Jay albums will have. It's catchy but the chorus disappoints. Tracks 5, 7 and 8 are the usual ballad songs. I kinda like these even though nothing new is offered. Track 6 is quite an upbeat song too and is well worth a listen. I'm still in the process of trying to get-into tracks 9 and 10. Track10 sounds kinda boring tho. Overall, another decent album from Jay. Non-Jay fans will frown as there is nothing extraordinary. However, Jay has already experimented many music types already: it is therefore obvious that nothing hugely different can arise from his music. If this was his first album, however, it may have rocked too. |

| im more satisfied with this album than novembers chopin. The last album, only 2 songs caught my attention. This album, i love of course faraway because i love fei yook chings voice. I like Listen to your mama's words and number 10 which i cant translate. But, i found the music videos to be way too long. and the intermission between faraway was weird. but overall, i like this one. im still waiting for my preorder poster. grr |

The song "Dad, Im back" was the song that captured my attention toward Jay. It's hard to rate something as good as "fantasy" itself. "Still Fantasy" is a formable CD but it is incomparable to "Fantasy." Track 1,2 and 3 are almost automatic hits. Those 3 tracks are each unique and catchy in its own ways. Upon the first litsen of this CD, serveral song got me questioning is this really Jay's music. Track 6 and 9 chose very awkward melodies, thus it took serveral times through to get use to it. Track 6 actually became quite a good litsen to. Track 7 and 10, many people claims to love it because it is a "different" jay since he delivered in a clear voice. But track 7 and 10 would not be one of my top Jay musics. Track 8 and 5 are both respectable songs and depending on your preference of music, they might be one of your favorite. Track 8, gave the feel as to Romantic Cellphone. Track 4, is a sloppy song and Jay always seem to find one song like that in every one of his CDs where it is just not a good song. The CD does display Jay's continuous effort to explore new and creative ideas within the asian music industry. Definitely one of the top CD of the year. This would be an 5 star CD if anyone else release it but because it is Jay, it is easy to get spoil. Sometime the standard just seem unrealistic even for Jay to reach. Jays best CDs would goes according to 1)Fantasy 2) Common Jasmine Orange 3)Jay Album 4) Still Fantasy and evenly Eight Dimension 5)Yu Hui Mei 6)November Chopin.... |
