屬於『晶晶』的那20分鐘
民國59年，台灣電視史上第一齣連續劇『晶晶』問世，一美和孫太太就迷上每晚播出20分鐘孤女晶晶尋母的苦情劇情，甚麼事都絕對不能打斷她們的『晶晶』，於是就連弟弟家柱，準備急著來到世間見母親，都不能打斷一美母女倆對晶晶的愛！
也因為這樣，一美他媽在醫院的產房裡待了好長一段時間，才順利生下家柱。在家的一美甚至因為找不到媽媽，還誤以為自己就要跟『晶晶』的命運一樣，開始苦情的尋找媽媽…而一美始終不知道，那個屬於一美跟母親的20分鐘『晶晶』，確實有著跟自己密不可分的秘密，悄悄地被醞釀著……

一生唯一的願望
陶復邦大一美兩歲，村裡的孩子頭頭。孫一美為什麼喜歡陶復邦？多虧了一顆砸破她腦袋的石頭，而復邦的英雄氣概挺身而出救了不甚美的一美，於是一美對復邦的「喜歡」，就這麼一直綿延到了她的花樣年華也不曾改變。
但，自從漂亮的汪茜茜出現，一美就注定要一輩子吃茜茜的悶虧。
茜茜就像陰魂不散的背後靈一樣跟隨著一美，一美在茜茜的「庇蔭」下，不知挨了多少罵、多少打、多少訕笑，外加茜茜親手摧毀了一美的初戀……可一美壓根不知道該視茜茜為敵人還是朋友？她們的友誼真正的開始，應該是因為張伯伯船難失蹤的事。

她們的友情
汪茜茜她家是後來才搬進村子。從各家媽媽的八卦拼湊來的故事是這樣的：汪媽媽──不，應該是「張」媽媽，漂亮的「張媽媽」第一任丈夫生病死了，改嫁後為了避開閒言閒語，張媽媽和茜茜的繼父「張伯伯」，帶著四個拖油瓶從台中搬來這個村子。
那時候茜茜的功課一路名列前茅，若沒意外國立大學是絕對跑不掉的。但意外果然就是意外，永遠來的不是時候，張伯伯的船出事，一美卻因此整個的全盤接受茜茜性格裡所有的古怪、刁蠻、霸道、刻薄。她希望茜茜哭，偏偏茜茜就是沒哭，她毫不猶豫的放棄聯考，進入加工區做女工。
