more memories... ^_^ Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This is another album from my middle school days. ^^ Namie Amuro was the first asian hip-hop artist i liked and this was always in my cd player at the time. I loved almost all the songs, but my favorites were always Come, Fish, Namie's Style, Four Seasons and LOVEBITE.

Plagiarism? Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
Originality is getting harder to find in music artists these days. With the exception of this one song, "Come" by Namie Amuro, the CD is very original and melodic. Catchy!

Unfortuantely, "Come" sounds like a direct plagiarism of Korean singer Lee Jung Hyun's "Feel Me!" a song on her 2nd album with the golden eye.

STYLE is Unique! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I have to be honest: when I first heard this album, I hated it. I quikly scanned each track to see if anything would "hook" me. I quickly thought it sucked and put it back in its case. But I never gave up on Namie. Then, 2 years later, I moved and needed to listen to some music while painting my new place. I decided to give some old CDs a chance (b/c I love her PLAY album), this being one of them, and MAN, thank god I did!

I rediscovered a wonderful world of sound. Great beats, very nice vocals (she doesnt try to sing out of her range like she has done in earlier albums), Very unique and not really poppy....it is R&B and hip hop, so I dont think you will like it if you are looking for TK-inspired tunes, but if you are open to different genres of music, then this is a MUST.

Like most CDs, a few listens are necessary....for me, this is always true, but also timing is important. Had I written a review when I first listend to this, I would have ranked it very low. But that would have been a mistake.

This CD has many songs, a couple variations and is long. Good bang for the buck. Good driving music, working music, dancing music....fun!

I love Namie and I encourage her new style. I especially love her most recent efforts on the album PLAY

Amazing Album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It's worth the price of the album just for Lovebite and Come. Every song is amazing and really shows the beginning of Namie's new sound.

R&B is not her forte.... Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
I actually liked the song "Come" more than any of the R&B ones because it really showcased her voice. I think her earlier songs brought out her youthfulness and bright singing style. R&B almost makes her sound lethargic. Some things are upbeat, and she does well on the ballads, but I really prefer her old style. It's good to change your style, but maybe if the R&B were a little more upbeat, I'd probably enjoy it more.

Stylish! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This album has some good songs. Personally I'm not a big fan of J-pop. I'm not convinced that a lot of those artists can sing. I think alot of Namie's older stuff had that same problem. I'm still not convinced she can sing too well. But, she definitely did show some potential with this album. I think she could be a better singer with a little training. But, regardless of whether she can sing or not, I would say this album is definitely worth checking out. Some of the songs have cool hip hop beats. Namie's Style and Put 'Em Up were cool songs and Namie voice sounded pretty good in Shine More. I'd say So Crazy was the best song on this album and the Mad Bear Mix of this song was good too. Namie's new style is definitely worth checking out!

Namie certainly has STYLE! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
When I purchased this album, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I actually had only heard 'WANT ME, WANT ME' before I decided to buy this album and as you know, it's a newer song. But, I wasn't dissapointed with "STYLE"! This album can't really be put into one genre. It covers pop, R&B, dance with a little rap mixed in and Namie does it really well. One downside is that some songs are a tad repetitive and some people might get tired of them. But, I'm sure most of you can get past that! Some of my favourites are 'Put 'Em Up', 'gimme more' and 'As Good As'. You know you want this album!

Namie's Style! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Before I bought this album, I had only heard: Namie's Style, Put 'Em Up, So Crazy, Four Seasons, Gimme More, Shine More, Come, and Wishing on the Same Star. I love Namie Amuro, and my favourite song that I hadn't already heard is Indy Lady. The only thing that disappoints me, is... the lyrics are a little TOO repetitive and not so catchy, causing me to change the track often before the song is over. The remix of So Crazy was disappointing too. I'd prefer remixes are contained to singles or remix albums. This album seems to mix Namie's new style and her old style. If you asked me if Shine More was one of her older songs... I'd probably tell you it is.
