Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock unravels the American obesity epidemic by subjecting himself to a "McDonald's only" diet for thirty days straight. At the same time, Spurlock hit the road and interviewed experts in 20 U.S. cities, including Houston, the "Fattest City" in America, exploring the horror of school lunch programs, declining health and physical education classes, food addictions and the extreme measures people take to lose weight and regain their health.
Super Size Me is a satirical jab in the stomach, overstuffed with fat and facts about the billion-dollar industry besieged by doctors, lawyers and nutritionists alike. "Would you like fries with that?" will never sound the same!

NO THANKS!! Even before seeing this doc. I was never interested in eating fast food, it's so fatty. But unfortunately, due to the fast pace life that most people live, they dont think twice before driving up a drive thru window. Watch this dvd and you'll think twice before devouring a burger, fries, and washing it down with sugar water, I mean, a soda. |

As controversial as it gets, same goes to Micheal Moore's film, you either love it or hate it !! But on the other hand, it felt like a free longer version advertisement for Uncle Ronald McDonald !! Don't you think so ?? |

Recommended viewing for all who love fast food...:
| Morgan Spurlock is the "star" of this documentary, if you will. In this film, Morgan decides to go on a McDonald's diet for thirty days straight! In other words, three square meals of McDonald's food for thirty days! During the course of the month, he gains considerable weight, his liver starts malfunctioning, cholesterol goes sky high, and so on and so forth. I guarantee you that you will never look at fast food (be it McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, or Chinese takeout) the same way again after viewing this film! And if you decide to have some popcorn while watching this film, all I will say is that you definitely don't want to know what goes into that popcorn! |
