What is your function in Life?

First of all let's dismiss those not interested in this film. A RI GA TO...thanks for coming. That said, this movie is quite unique. I could go into detail about each and every facet that makes this a good movie, but by then, you'd be bored, I'd be Bored, etc. This Movie demands sight because of 5 simple things. They are as follows: 1.A Salaryman is hypnotized into becoming a Bird, and eventually makes sense. 2.A Woman kicks the crap out of Asano Tadanobu, several times, with launching limbs no less. 3.There is a hypothetical commercial featuring a man with two faces arguing with eachother about wether to eat Bread or Rice. 4.Vinnie Jones actually says "I'm Sorry" and means it. and finally... 5.Sonny Chiba Makes a Cameo. Not the Crap "I make you Swrod" Kill Bill Cameo, but a Real Cameo as a powerful Cooperate Mogul trying to figure out if it is a 60 or a 100 watt. ...That said, buy this film if 1-5 appeal to you. Otherwise, enjoy Brokeback cowboy. |

| Ok, i showed this to some of my american friends and they didnt like it. But thats because they are simple minded, they dont think outside the box, so if your one of those person that only watch movies with a plot(ie. someone trying to get revenge, someone trying to find/get something ect.ect.) then i dont suggest it for you. This is more like an art that you admire, that you ponder about. You gotta think outside the box and see the whole movie, its a puzzle that they peice together in an UN-orderly fashion. But, i love this movie...saw it once, and now i am a freak about it....its awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Worth a buy! |

like nothing else....
| I saw this movie at the Santa Barbara film festival, in california. I was amazed at the art direction and overall beauty of the film. It is deffinitly a rarity; a movie I will find myself watching over and over on various days. The characters draw you in, and you honestly never knew where the film is headed...And by no means did the film look low budet. What a wonder dream. A GREAT buy! |
