Sushi Prince takes Manhattan! Kinki Kids star Domoto Koichi heads stateside for his new film Sushi Oji! Goes to New York, the silver screen spin-off of his hit TV Asahi drama Sushi Oji!. With the film's production greenlit even before the drama's broadcast, expectations are high for Sushi Oji! in all its wacky gourmet and martial arts splendor. Helmed by popular director Tsutsumi Yukihiko (Trick, Memories of Tomorrow), the film stars Domoto Koichi in his film debut as a sushi chef and aspiring martial artist. KAT-TUN's Nakamura Yuichi also reprises his role for the big screen, along with a supporting cast that includes Ihara Tsuyoshi (Letters from Iwo Jima), Shaku Yumiko, Ishihara Satomi, Ohta Lina, and Kitaoji Kinya.

After completing his quirky sojourn through Japan as a sushi-making, fist-fighting journeyman in the TV series, "Sushi Prince" Tsukasa Maizu (Domoto Koichi) takes his training to the next level in New York where he gets the chance to learn from sushi master Goro (Kitaoji Kinya). To his surprise, old partner Taro (Nakamura Yuichi) is already there working at Goro's sushi shop! But the reunion turns sour when a ruthless competitor drives them out of business with backhanded tactics. To save the restaurant, Tsukasa must face his rival in a sushi showdown in the Big Apple.
