Despite experiencing some initial production setbacks because of a swine flu scare, 2009 SBS drama Swallow the Sun has regained lost ground with a strong showing in ratings. Bolstered by the highly anticipated reteaming of All In producer Yoo Cheo Yong and screenwriter Choi Wan Kyu, this gripping drama revolves around three strong-willed young people - Ji Sung (New Heart), Sung Yu Ri (Snow Queen), and Lee Wan (Trees in Heaven) - and their pursuit of love, success, and revenge as they strive to develop Seogwipo, Jeju into a world city. The drama features location shooting in Las Vegas, South Africa, and Jeju.

Lovers in Prague and Sorry, I Love You music director Choi Sung Wook was in charge of the music for Swallow the Sun. SM Entertainment's underrated K-rock band TRAX formed a project group with Air to sing Swallow the Sun's main theme "Voice" (Track 2) and ending theme "Fate" (Track 1). Drama OST regular HowL and popular group Gavy NJ also participated in the soundtrack.

수목극 왕좌를 고수하고 SBS 드라마스페셜 ‘태양을 삼켜라’ OST가 오는 19일 발매된다.
이번 OST에는 프로젝트 그룹 TRAX+Air가 부른 엔딩 타이틀곡 ‘운명’과 메인 타이틀곡‘목소리’, 가비엔제이가 부른 여주인공 테마 ‘그대 없이 좋은날’은 물론 드라마에 삽입된 다양한 장르의 연주곡 12곡을 포함한 총 20곡이 수록되어 있어, 드라마의 감동을 그대로 느낄 수 있다.
특히 드라마 ‘올인’, ‘미안하다 사랑한다’ 등의 음악감독으로 유명한 최성욱씨가 만든 이번 OST는 제주도, 라스베가스, 남아프리카 등에서 촬영된 아름다운 드라마 영상과 어우러진 완성도 높은 음악으로 앨범 발매 전부터 많은 관심을 얻은 만큼, 시청자들은 물론 음악 팬들의 좋은 반응이 기대된다.
