Okay Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Generally i don't usually enjoy reading books however it was okay. I was sort of expecting a bit too much though from reading previous reviews. A bit disappointing. For the price paid, think it's a bit expensive as well. Interesting book indeed though. The Rat was the best story for me along with Counting Pulses. Altogether though i thought it was a good read but for its worth? Maybe not that much.

well, i bought this book for a friend of mine who is a HUGE fan of Tablo. she said the book was very well written but it was depressing to read it. lol. but then i'm starting to read the book now, and so far it's good. i think Tablo is an excellent writer. but one thing i'm a bit disappointed about was that, i thought it was going to be about him? but it ended up with short stories. but it was still good.

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed. Reading the reviews before ordering the book I was really excited, but once I actually received the book and started reading it, it felt like a cold shower.
The book is not 'bad', but honestly, it's not as good as everyone make it seem. I think the part of the reason everyone is putting this book on pedestal as "the most amazing book ever!!!" is that Tablo wrote it. Not many celebrities actually write books, so when the brilliant poet Tablo published his short story collection, everyone went mad.
For me, stories are too similar and too fragmented. While this fragmented-ness works great with Epik High's songs, I personally feel books should give us a little bit more.
Take for example "Andante", seemingly everyone's favorite story from the book. I think it's pretty unoriginal (family member suffering from dementia) and badly written. It's like a piece of bored mind. No offense to everyone who really likes this particular story.
BUT - not everything is so bleak. I like three stories. Hate Crime, short and written in the manner of best Epik High's stories, A Glass of Victory - bitterly funny story about winners and losers and Coup de Grace, original and moving story but with an abrupt and weird ending. Those three stories have a very strong message and are deeply moving. Especially Coup de Grace- it leaves you thinking.
So, if you're a fan of Epik High, you're going to buy this no matter what I say.
If you're not a fan of Epik High, I suggest rather buying one of their cd-s (Swan Songs and Remapping the Human Soul are my favorites). And for reading - Haruki Murakami's Elephant Vanishes collection of short stories.

I never expected that Tablo's writing is this deep..
his writings is really beautiful and it got me drowned in the book while reading it..
the way he described one thing is really unique..
I really like his book and all the stories..
my personal fave are Andante, Coup de Grace and Counting Pulses..
I'm never gonna regret buying this..
it's a recommended book..

If someone were to ask me who the most talented group from Korea is (in my opinion), I'd definitely go with Epik High. Without a doubt.. and I'm not even such a big fan. So step away groups like DBSG, Super Junior, Wondergirls etc. Most of them don't even write their own songs, and if they do it's mostly about love and girls. No offence!, certainly not I like them too, but Epik High just has that bit more to where they dare to sing/rap/talk about things in the world and in such an.. -can't even explain what- way. XD

And this book is just proof of how great/intelligent Tablo is and Epik High of course. Even my father read it and was impressed that 'some asian' wrote this. D: Told him lots of times not to talk like that, but what can you do about it? Some people don't understand it, I guess.. Dunno~

Anyways, Buy this. It's almost like a little black bible and I'm proud to have it in my home. ^^

This book arrived a bit longer than I expected it would.
But the wait was worth it, I mean WOW, I read this book in one day (not a big accomplishment since it really isn't that long).
The cover is really nice and it comes with a bookmark/string thing that's usually on a bible.
I liked all the chapters but I'd have to say I liked Adante, Counting Pulses, The Walls of Our World, and Coup de Grace.
Hate Crime I could relate to because I'm Korean also and people thinking all Asians are the same does bother me.
Highly, HIGHLY recommend this book.

you know, Tablo is a good song writer, a good rapper, a good actor, an accomplished man but his book is just................................................................................................. TOO WOW!!!!! HIS ENGLISH IS *no words* !! IM AMAZED!!

IT'S WORTH BUYING IT~! U WONT REGRET IT!! and the bubble thingy is protecting the book during the shipment and it will come safe =] there's even a message and autographe~!!! and a little bookmark xD

I bought this book because I absolutely love Tablo and his music, so I figured if his writing is even just half as good as his music, then it would totally be worth it. Turns out, his writing is amazing. I was really impressed with his stories. The book is made up of a bunch of short stories that seem to be random while you're reading them, but when you finish the story, you're left practically speechless. His stories have meaning behind them and they are beautifully written. Tablo is quite the talented man.

So go ahead, buy the book...find out for yourself :)

(shipping took a while so it made me even more anxious... but it's FINALLY ARRIVED)

When it arrived, just from the first look of the book I can tell you that I'll never ever regret buying this book!
A Beautiful Hard Cover book. 8 chapters. Even the texture of the cover feels very nice and delicate!

And the stories?? Beyond words. No book that i've ever read can ever compare to this.. I've fallen in love with his songs, his book and his creativity. It's beautiful. And honestly, I think that the book is in a perfect size.
