good story
| The story and the actors are excellent. But I do not the director let the camera moving during the war. I think it make the movie more action. The 2 actors should nomintee for oscar award ( if they have it in Korea ). I just started to watch Korean movie, but so far this one is best and worth to buy it and keep it in my home movie library."" highly recommed "" |

Great movie!!!
| This is a great movie about love, sacrafice and loyalty. It's a story about the strong bond between two brothers. The older brother is brave, strong and protective of his younger brother; he is willing to go on the most dangerous war missions to ensure that he gets a medal, so that he can request to have his younger brother sent home. It's a really powerful and emotional movie. This movie is a terrific movie, you must see it for yourself! |

Don't judge a book by its cover
| The first impression from me of this movie is that "URGH...a war movie. Sure it's all about violence and nothing else." But I was wrong. It proves to be one of the best movie I've ever watched. It does have the violent bits, the funny bits as well as the touching bits. This movie also changed my perception of war themed movies. This is a definite worth watch even if you're not a war-themed movie fan like me. |

Big effort and great outcome.

This movie tells me lot of things about Korean war, family, and humanity. The way that the movie tells us is not as easy as that it was intended to, though. I got even just a couple of things. I could be related to the older brother, Jin Tae and younger one, Jin Seok at the same time, even they are represented in different ways. One of the impressive scenes was that one North Korean soldier asks Jin Seok to save himself, which is very odd to me. If the enemy talks to me in the same language, he would start looking like just any other people or friends that I know. If you are willing to stand lots of bloody scenes in two hours, you can also enjoy this. I had such a good feeling after the movie! |

SAVING PRIVATE KIM
| this movie was really really great. it was called a pseudo-ripoff of saving private ryan but thats not fair. any movie that took place during that general time period and used saturated film would be compared to private ryan. this movie will also blow you away no matter how many other war movies you have seen. there is something unique about it that strikes you no matter what your background or ethnicity is. |

The Brotherhood....
| "Taegukgi" is one of the best movies i seen. The movie defines the line of blood versus water. As many other reviews have stated the plot and the storyline of the movie, i will best defined why i think it is one of the most compelling and heart-felt war movies. Taegukgi can not be compared to "Saving Private Ryan", two stories were told, both with different aspects of war and both have proven that they are one of the best movies to ever be created. On that note, Taegukgi is a must see movie, not for anyone, but for all. This includes all the leaders in the world which still believes that wars will solve problems, but in fact wars are the causes of the problems and can only be resolved peacefully. History should not repeat itself,and Taegukgi will show the animosity and pain caused by war. |

Awesome
| HK movies need a revolution in its movie industry. Anyway, this movie is very good. Highly reccomended. I got the vcd version with English and Chinese subs, so my friends that cant read Chinese can all watch the movie together. |
