A masterpiece: Tanya (Reissue Version) ~ Tanya Chua

A reissue version of Tanya Chua's debut Mandarin album "Tanya " in from 1998, which marked the start of the star's singing career, has been released. The latest version brings back and reminds us of the then-inspiring Tanya.

It was believedTanya was at once regarded as an all-rounded singer and composer wasand shooting shot to fame when Tanya releasedafter the release of her first ever album back in 1998. Among the ten songs in the album, seven were created by Tanya single-handedly and most had already been included in her English album "Bored". The then folk-and-some-rock'n'roll style differs from but lays the foundation for her rather feminine style nowadays. Nevertheless, a very high standard has been maintained for her music and lyrics over the years.

Tanya first made her namereceived acclaim in on the Mandarin market with her principal song "Breath" (Track#2), the leading track. Its music video featured only captions and a series of animations which successfully centred all the attention to on the singer's angelic and skillful vocal. BesidesHowever, the music and lyrics are quite good too.

"You Get Away" (Track#3) is the Mandarin version of You Sorry AssA xx. The phrase "You Get Away" of the Indian-style song wasis, at in the beginning, a request, then an order and finally a plead. in the Indian-style song. Music lovers rode theare invited to a roller coaster ride as Tanya sang sings and masterfully demonstrated demonstrates the character's delicate and sophisticated psychologically changes in the song. Those who have already been to one of the star's concerts no doubt know the magic power of Tanya's live performances.You must have also experienced the power of the star's live singing if you have been to her concert.

"None Of Your Business" (Track#4) offers a feeling of purity and peacefulness which matches the unworldly character of the person described in the song and the . Llyrics by Lin Xi is are good too.

"No Big Deal" (Track#5) is a relatively common ballad. "Ennui" (Track#1) and "Bally Show" (Track#6) have been the present reviewer's favourites over the last few years. The present reviewer would also recommend listening to My Colour TV Set, the English version of "Bally Show"the latter.
